I've looked at the comments left for the demo and done the following:
Re-recorded the main vocal. I've put some bass reduction in to reduce boom.
I've EQ'd the guitars and bass to kill any frequency overlaps which caused muddiness.
I've added an echoing backing vocal to give the verse lyrics some space and air.
The drums have been brought right down during the verses and back up during the choruses which seems to improve the impact.
On headphones and monitors this mix sounds full blooded and closer to what I wanted to achieve.

Like the lyrics.
When are you going to put them on display.
Like the way it fills up in the chorus.
I'd maybe put a touch of reverb on the drums and a few crash cymbals in the chorus and middle eight.
The bass does the job but might work a bit better with just a few fills, frills and extra notes but that's just my opinion.
Backing vox work well with the main vocals
