Thank you all!
The song started out with the music first, then the refrain, and since I am somewhat involved in the fight for freedom of the Iranian people, the subject of the song did fall unto me naturally. The fight is still strong, while the media has fallen to a silent sleep. Many of us are still fighting, not allowing the the voices of freedom to die, doing whatever we can to help; putting up temporary proxy servers, hacking Ahmedijan's servers, spreading the word and the pictures that are still coming out of Iran, mostly Teheran. The song is not political however. It's a song of freedom that can apply to anyone fighting for democracy. Tobin, you're right, it's not easy to write a positive song in regards to a difficult subject like this, I honestly struggled to find the right words; I had to walk away from the music and write a piece of poetry, and then return back to the music. The lyrics where much more involved at the beginning, and I had to rewrite it several times to find a "simple" combination of words that I where looking for. Thank you all for your comments.
