Description
I wrote it when I was young and in cahoots with road life - its reggae,so I felt compelled to try it.Thanks once more, sorry I dont listen to,or comment on as much music on macjams as I would ideally like - I'll keep trying.seriously - er..with a catch - life shouldnt be too serious, but I'll judge more when I'm on my deathbed.how morbid.still every cloud has a silver panty lining

Lyrics
Moving On

Theres a place in the shadows, where your other slef lies down
Yet you're concous of the rising sun
Spinning round and round
And it doesnt really matter, what other people say
Cos you want to find your heaven babe,so sure enuf youll just keep movin on

Now you're floating on the water
You're a bird above the storm,
and youve found a little madness
Just to keep you warm

If they love you we will follow,
If they dont theres no return,
cos you want to find your shan-gri-la
So sure enuf you'll just keep movin on

bah bah dada da dada dada dada diddly da dada dada dada da da etc

Nice one Rick
a very summery song.... strange how a reggae beat gives that sunny feel no matter what the subject. Great warm vocal and I like the organ in the backing..... your lyrics are always good, cheers M

Another Classic
I think it sounds great, so much talent. Great groove with just a hint of jazz I feel to make it sound different. Especially like the dah, dah, scat bit in the middle.

Nice track Richard
This ones quiet and east going, I like that about it. So mighty fine lyrics, and an excellent vocal delivery. Backtracks sound a little Jazzy and at the same time have an ambient feel to them.

Great work Richard, ya gotta love it.

Groovie
Not really Reggae in my ears, until the second part, more like a mix of New Orleans blues, with inspiration of Reggae, and is NOT bad at all. I like the vocals a lot. The middle Pa-ta-da is so cool! The piano solo moving (on), as is the organ, wow.. Cool composition with thoughtful lyrics!

Rich,
This has probably one of the best mixes I have heard from you recently. Wonderful warm sound. Like the cool little boppy chorus that is totally out of left field and decidedly NOT reggae and then the smokey piano bar bridge. Inspired.

Very smooth Reggae song. The lyrics are trippy.
I enjoyed the mix, it is very tight.

sunny sun
the chorus/break/piano work is inspired dude and lifts this way past reggae into some kind of experimental dancehall pop or something. very cool, i'd be interested to see where you end up if you head further in this direction.
