The problem with miking a violin is... ...that you have to turn the mic down a bit to filter out the background noise (e.g. the shoulder rest rubbiing against your shirt), but then it's hard to get it over the rest of the mix. Next time I do something like this, I'll either record the slow and fast parts separately, or I'll spend the money and get a decent electric fiddle. Check out my latest song called SR-71

Like the addition Jim, although in the 2nd section I couldn't pull them out of the mix really well, you might want to bring them up a little next time you play around with it. What I heard I liked, but because of my hearing loss, I sometimes miss the best parts.
