Description
Firstly, this is NOT about my wife.
I did a session a couple of weeks ago and recorded this old song I had in my songbook and recorded it on my Zoom H2, just to get it down as a demo. I thought it sounded good, so I exported it to GB and added another vocal and bass to make it a little more full sounding.
I still have about 7 more songs from the session I did a few weeks ago, including a Mowguy3 cover (Stay tuned for that one). I still have about 30 more song projects I want to work on. Good thing I wrote down just about every song I wrote from 26 years old and on. I'd love to collab on a few. So don't be surprised if you get a call from me.
I'm not anti-woman in any way. This was written for a friend, in a way, who was going through some messy divorce. His ex-wife was not the nicest person in the world. I ended up writing this song as a character, not as a reflection of my own feelings toward woman, whom I love.
Hope you enjoy
BTW, the painting is Pandora 1896 by John William Waterhouse. According to Greek mythology, she was the first woman.

Lyrics
A Woman Like You
I don’t know why I chose a woman like you
A Woman Like You
You’re jealous, you’re spiteful, you don’t understand
A Woman Like You
Well, I think you are two-faced
I think you have no place
Standing right beside me
Right Beside Me
You need me, you want me, but you don’t respect me
A Woman Like You
You beat me, you hate me; you don’t talk to me
A Woman Like You
Well, I think you are two-faced
I think you have no place
Standing right beside me
Right beside me
You act like a baby when you want me to do
A Woman Like You
You act like a lady when you want me to play
A Woman Like You
You act like a mother when you want me to stay
A Woman Like You
Well, I think you are two-faced
I think you have no place
Standing right beside me
Right beside me

I can certanly relate to the lyrics because of a similar past relationship of mine. With that said, this is right to the point,no question left as to the meaning. Strong words and phrases used as well.
This must be a very good friend for you to want to write a song this powerfull. I personaly like it and think you did a great job. Thanks!
