Description

I've gone and done it again. With the addition... and deletion of some software sounds, I eliminated many anomalies in the strings sounding so synthy by replacing a few JP4 sounds with the Boldt violins, violas, celli and basso (Feter. I hope you find some of the new sounds better than before... you were very helpful in your critiques).

I have added a plethora of layers and new melodies... and hopefully more cohesion?

Excellent ..the taste of the strings are richer
specially the cello ...I think you have
experienced what I went through about letting two
strings tracks play the same note ..but your
writing is so rich that cover all these sync
sounds ...its fantastic winds work here ...a true

the solution
Alimar this is stunning. the opening was gorgeous and with each layer added it just got more and more beautiful. Wonderful use of the instruments - especially those strings, the tremolos were just awesome. Excellent choices for placement and perfectly timed entrances and exits. This is full and lush, very complex in theory but with a sound that is completely engaging and speaks to the heart of each listener. A masterpiece for sure. Just brilliant.

Alimar - you give me a goal to aspire to every time i hear your amazing orchestral works. this is stunning - and all with JP4 and Boldt - i really want to talk to you about some of the details of your string tweaking - could we do that sometime? this is just EXCELLENT - the piano in here - wow - can't get over that this is all penciled! you're a WIZARD!

I wish there was an easy way to show you how simple it is to work with 40 tracks, and making them all in synchronicity. When you are traveling in my area, stop by and we'll talk shop! I can send some screen grabs to give you an idea of exactly what I do to combine several tracks, adjust all the variable, etc. Its a very tedious process. Yuo, on the other hand, have the ability to just "play" what you hear. And when you've added orchestration, you have done an admirable job at doing so.

It is encouraging to see that somebody has "broken" GarageBand and done more than what the digital medium would normally encourage him to do. Surely while creating this piece you employed a solution to the problem of time-consuming projects. Your dedication makes me smile. And the payoff is tremendous.
