Forgotten things they slipped right through my hands.
Forgotten things lost in the sand.
Floating through the ether oh an’ never seen again
Forgotten things fallin’ like rain.
I can never remember the paths that I walked on
Or the dreams that have followed me home.

Or the arms that held me so close.
Lovers and friends who passed through my life
Have drifted on into the night..
Scattered with the wind like leaves in the fall
I lost them with barely a fight.
Situations and places, deuces and aces

All the signposts are shrouded with moss.
What lies ahead, what pages unread?
Has the ending been written in stone?
Will the world still go on or fall into the sun,
