Description
I should point out right off the bat that my sole contribution to this one is the drums. I realize it's therefore kind of a misnomer to post the song as mine, but I hope everyone will let me slide since the real author is not yet a MacJammer.
The song belongs to a good friend of mine (and former bandmate), Stephen Bloodsworth. The song is under copyright (2009). In my humble opinion, the guy is just an amazing singer and songwriter. He's the guy who got me started down the digital drum path I am now on. My first song post here at MacJams ("My Head") was also a collab with him. In the 3.5 years since that first post, Steve has moved to LA and moved again to Nashville. He came up to visit me 3 months ago to see how my studio has shaped up and we talked about collaborating again.
Like all of the songs we've worked on together, he sent me an MP3 of the song with everything recorded but drums. I feel everything was recorded and balanced perfectly. All that was left for me was to throw a simple rhythm on top and avoid getting in the way of the song.
As part of the collaboration, I sent him the raw drum tracks as if I'd mic'ed up a real drumset - giving him the ultimate in control. What you are hearing is my lame, drum-heavy mix ... but I think it still gets the tune across.
I hope that Steve will take a look at this page and maybe soon we can convince him to become a MacJammer too!

Lyrics
When I look into her eyes I see the place where I wanna be
I would lay the moon down at her feet
Or twirl the world around my head and make a necklace of the Milky Way
And hang it 'round her neck then I could say
She's my piece of heaven
The sun and moon every day and night
And when she's smiling at me
The whole world seems so right
Well I can see the sunrise forever in her eyes they're blue and wide
From top to bottom she fits every dream that I wanna try
She's on my side and I can't believe she's mine
And if she ever tells me
If she ever tells me
If she ever tells me goodbye
Well I may as well die
The planets revolve around her
And she steals my gravity
I find my head swimming in stars
Hope I never come down
When I look into her eyes I see the place where I wanna be
And I would lay the moon down at her feet
Or twirl the world around my head and make a necklace of the Milky Way
And hang it 'round her neck then I could say
She's my piece of heaven
Sun and moon every day and night
And when she's smiling at me
The whole world seems so right
