Lyrics
That river took your heart, it stole her right from your arms.
That river took her apart.
So, you could have tried to save her? He would have.
and who knew she'd never tell us she was never coming back?

That river stole my heart, it dragged me out to the ocean.
That river was so fast.
Still, I could've tried to stay but I didn't.
and I know I shouldn't have told her I'd be coming back sometime.

The less you know the better,
But unless you know this you'll never get it again, have her again.

Really like
this song - would prefer the guitar a bit lower in the mix and the vocal higher. Very interesting melodies going on.
Cheers

cheers for having a listen and I'm glad you liked the melodies. I'll be uploading a full band version of this one soon and I'll try to get the lead and harmony vocals nice and clear in the mix.

gutsy
Hey Dan, Like how you are just throwing them out there these days. Nice song dude. Timing and pitch be damned. I think you have guts and I for one like to see others dare to be pitchy! I know I do and am. Well done.

This song really worked for me
And I like the upper part of your vocal range--I heard the vocals toward the end as expressiveness, not pitch and timing issues Glad I happened upon it!
