Lyrics
I'm Still Looking For A Girl Like You

You don't like me anymore
You may wonder why you think you ever did
I don't care
I'd still like you even if you hated me true
I'd still like you through and through
And I'm still looking for a girl like you

Well, you think I have lost my mind
And you think you had good reasons to think that before
But come on, Black
Who are you, some pot to be calling names
Everything you got could go up in flames
While I'm just looking for an angel to be true
Yes, and I'm still looking for a girl like you

And I don't care what you may say
And I don't mind what you do
And I won't think you're being insincere
If you should say, "go away"

Cause you don't like me anymore...

Lookout Lookup Look
Thanks for posting, this one has an easy shuffle feel and recalls Bo Carter and Hocum in a complementary manner.

I'm humbled
and pleased. When my niece's husband told me about this site I didn't know it would so filled with great musicians with great songs with great production value--hence so many of you guys sound like Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' while I sound like I'm broadcasting from the dark side of the moon. But if you hear a faint cry of something--well, that's nice and I'm learning all the time. I love your latest as well as many others.

Nice!
I'm not a big fan of the synth... a little too repetitive for my personal taste... Sir Feter said wash board... I started think about that raspy percussion and think it would fit nicely into this...

Vocals are great and the guitar is really nice...

If I got you
to listen long enough to make it to the chorus, well, that's the payoff if there is one in this tune. When I say I'm pleased and honored you like it, it's really true. I spend so much time here being bowled over by yours and everyone's work and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get those little fan list pictures under songs. But, after all these years I can't figure out how to tune the guitar so there you go. Thanks for giving a listen to a poor relation as it were auditorialy.

This is a fun little song.
Shuffles along rather nice.

I agree with Mark re the repetitiveness of the synth. It would be cool if you could replace it with real harmonica. Perhaps our own TERRAPLANE would be willing to lay some down for you?

Anyway, I enjoyed this light-hearted song.

Be well!

synth
oh, no, it's a melodica from Hohner that I play with my mouth but it was so out of tune with my guitar I could only play a couple of notes or it would have really been noticable. the gourd I got from South America is about as synth as I possess. But thanks for the listen.

wow
classic pop. this is a great tune!
i wish it had a little more volume, but such a small nit, to be sure. the instrumentation is fresh and lends well to the no-nonsense approach to catchy, hook-driven pop. thank you so much for posting. you are a welcome addition to the macjams family
