Description
A little more smooth funk with a cool bass riff. A bit outside my normal bass rock guitar work. The guitars in the background are two acoustics played throughout to give a loop effect. Also played acoustic drums with a loop drum track behind. When I played the drums back it really helped the song groove a bit more. Love harmonies so I threw a bunch in to give it that 70's rock feel. Hope you like.

Lyrics
It's been To Long

Sean O'Malley @ 2009

Although I've been away so long
I've been around enough to see
Things they haven't changes too much
To much in you enough to frighten me

Before I decide to throw it in
There's just one thing before we begin
Like understanding trust and love
When to say enoughs enough
To bend the rules here and there
Taking yours but never share as one, as one.

Chorus-
When you go down I fall too
I take the worst and best with you
When times are good we celebrate
Never a chance to postulate
Be here again mark my word
Maybe in a different world
We'll try, we'll try

The struggle that we're going through
Is something old ain't nothing new
As long as we can talk it through
There's really nothing here that will stop the truth

Though Long
It's Gone
We've taken what is wrong
Made it right, made it right, we've made it right.

Chorus-
When you go down I fall too
I take the worst and best with you
When times are good we celebrate
Never a chance to postulate
Be here again mark my word
Maybe in a different world
We'll try, we'll try

Nice one...
Those looped acoustic guitars are great - nice harmonies and production. My only critisim is that the MP3 uploaded here is rather low quality so it's difficult to hear just how good this really is... I imagine the original is sounds great.

Would it be weird if I threw around
the words Pet Shop Boys after hearing this? Dig your funky bro, it's been too long we need to play.

Top notch, Sean!

Great singing, harmonies are really well placed. You got that 70s vibe down to a tee - I'm hearing Alex Lifeson/Geddy Lee in ballad mode.

Downloaded, thanks.

I like the pop
feel of this song. Very nice vocal. I would turn down the snare just a tad and the vocal up a quite a bit. Enjoyed it. Thanks for posting!!
