I opened up the fridge but there is nothing in for me
An egg. bananas, and for some reason batteries.
Only got ones and fives but the beer machine won't take them and neither will the shop.
Be a love and bring me back some fizzy booze.
Anything will do, I'm not fussy so you can choose.
If you do you can can watch what you want.
Under the sink I looked around the cobwebs and the dank.
A margarita mix but it's smelling pretty rank.
For a cold one, preferably something Belgian, I'd gladly sell my soul.

I like it
I found the bass to distort the other instruments a bit... I love deep strong bass but this was a tiny bit much for the other instruments..

Love the syncopation... Nice... Nice guitar work... sounds like an alternate tuning... Cool.

That rhythm guitar drives this song... I like the song a lot. Of course, being American, can't relate to the beer in a beer machine.
since you have asked for specific feedback. here's what I think... This is only subjective and no need to change anything because of this but... only what I would do....

the rhythm guitar needs to be pronounced a lot more - punched in so that it takes over- since it drives the song... especially at the transition around "Be a love and bring me...." Maybe give each instrument its own space at different times. Like that bass is killer and drives the song too at times. The balance is good and clean but this to me is a raw song and needs more raucousness.... Lyrics are great... repeating the stanzas is ok but maybe you could wander off more about your life and why your fridge is so destitute.... The ending... thats ok - abrupt but could go crazy... so this is all subjective, this critique and I am not expert like a lot of people here. I hope this helps... and as always, love your vocals.

Love the base line. Great vocals. Like the lyrics as well. Sometimes you just need to drink. I was waiting for a chorus of some kind but it works well without it. Excellent mix. I have a couple of pop genres if you have the time stop by. Very cool, DL'ed. Thanks for sharing this Gem.

i totally forgot...
I'm out of beer too!
this is a fun song with some interesting instrumentation. The guitar's jagged and I'd put some grit on it. That bass is played superbly.

beer on The Streets
very cool, creative approach to songwriting. you obviously gave it some thought, especially those cool little guitar parts in the intro to the verse, also love the choice of the funky disco-at-slow-mo type rhythm. a pleasurable listen man! Reminded me a lot of the cool "description of the moment" stuff The Streets does. DL'd.

I love the sparceness of your songs
I know that sounds wierd but you have a groove, and lots of empty space to accetuate it. It seems you are looking for actual feedback so I will say this: I would build the song a bit more as it goes. Give em a little bit more then just a tad more if you know what I mean (and i think you do)

Been there, mate!
You certainly take your lyrics from life. I might have done with a tad less bass, letting it rip in places you want to accent-more variety. The guy's comment earlier about the guitar I totally agree with & as that's your instrument you can have it right up there with the vocals, since they'll never cross each other out. Maybe a steady percussion through the parts that repeat might give it an understated carpet, but that's the pop musician talking - you can ignore it! Haha

Have / Need
Love it!

The lyrics are great - "if you do, you can watch what you want" - wish I wrote that line myself!!

I'm glad I'm discovering your music. It's good song writing and I like how you approach your craft.
