You Know,
This takes me back to when skiffle hit the UK big time in the 60's and we were all making bass out of tea-chests and broom handles with string LOL. This is a great coming together of all your musical instruments... all you need are some lyrics and a whiny high pitched voice and it's Lonnie Donegan all over again, regards M

Well there's no lack of talent here, Chris
Amazing that you played all of this (except drums) Love the spoons in the mix. What did you use for a bass Chris, it almost sounds like there's a Washtub bass in there somewhere.

Keep on and the next thing you know you'll be playin' at the Grand Ole Opry.

Good one Chris

Ed

Bass is
supplied by the lead/rhythmn guitar...no really hammering on and picking the tune...probably a name for it but I just taught myself to play like that...or it is completely wrong but works for me.

Grand Ole Opry...well probably to sweep the stage, lol

Thanks for having a listen Ed.

Jarvoid said 109 days ago (August 9th, 2009)
Well say
it as you think Vic,there may be a squidgin' of misfretting on the mando and your ears are probably better than mine......Loud! I don't know how that has happened..I was struggling to get acceptable levels on the recording and I certainly haven't boosted theMPw3...atta loss there....Cheers

I dig this
This sounds like the parties I sometimes have at home:) I usually hand out all kinds of little percussion instruments and stringed ones for those able to play such. Very cool jam. I especially enjoyed the mandolin and the spoon:)

I'm a tad
worried that I have found my level...and I don't know why now,I have no Appalachian or any other mountains in my family...there was a small hillock on my grandfathers side but I believe that was countered by the small valley on the maternal side....Sheesh

was wonderin
if you'll come visit me and play some music? will the airlines let you travel with a didge and spoons? doesn't get any cooler than this. um...i even have a front porch you can sit on ok? just let me know when you're coming. i'm serious.
Check out my latest song called Deep Majesty
Jarvoid said 107 days ago (August 11th, 2009)
Probably not,
they would suspect the Didge of being some sort of missile launcher or similar, while I would be suspected of using the spoons to effect my escape from the aircraft by digging my way out...Nice thought tho, I could stop sitting on the stepladders at the top of the stairs to get the ambience.
