Description
A fun song (I hope you think so) - sort of soft rock-a-billy. Always liked Ricky Nelson - this would work for him. Maybe a little long. (It's a common problem with me - writing 5-minute epics instead of 2.5-minute singles.) Hope it brightens your Monday a little.

Lyrics
David McCord - Darlin’ I Can Love You
I can’t add and I can’t spell Can’t play this guitar so well, but
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I can’t sing and I can’t dance I’m no good at games of chance
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I’m no genius, I’m no saint For all I am, there’s more I ain’t
But, darlin’ I got no complaint Long as I can love you, and
Darlin’ I do!
I can’t climb no mountain peak Nor swim the ocean - I’m too weak!
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I can’t buy you rings of gold But I’ll be with you growin’ old
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I’m no prize, that’s a fact But I’m sincere, and that’s no act
I don’t miss the things I lacked Long as I can love you, and
Darlin’ I do!
I can cure no grave disease I can’t train no circus fleas
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I can cook and I can’t read But baby I got what you need
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I’m no rich man, I’m no star I don’t drive no fancy car
But I’ll be happy where you are Long as I can love you, and
Darlin’ I do!
I can’t take you far away And I can’t wait another day
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I can’t build no Taj Mahal I can’t give you much at all!
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I got nothin’ to regret I won’t worry, I won’t fret
Long as you ain’t left me yet! Long as I can love you, and
Darlin’ I do…
I’m no genius, I’m no saint For all I am, there’s more I ain’t
But, darlin’ I got no complaint Long as I can love you, and
Darlin’ I do…
Darlin’, I can love you, so…
Darlin’ I do!
I can’t add and I can’t spell Can’t play this guitar so well, but
Darlin’ I can love you Yes, I can love you.
I can’t sing and I can’t dance I’m no good at games of chance

Very jolly. Made me smile. Could do with a real bass line and some more slap back echo though. IMHO.
