Description
As promised here is a fully fleshed out version of the acoustic song I uploaded last week.
Recording it as just a vocal and guitar track (and the feedback I got here) really helped me to focus this tune and reorganise some ideas. The solo at the end was a point of contention for me as I'd just done it for fun and to break up the monotony of programming the other tracks. It wasn't intended for the song but I was really happy with how that take came out, so it just stayed.
Well, I'd love to hear what people think of this version and how it compares with my other tunes and the acoustic version.
PS - I am breaking my pledge - no video for this song yet, might have to update this page later.

Lyrics
That river took your heart, it stole her right from your arms.
That river took her apart.
So, you could have tried to save her? He would have.
and who knew she'd never tell us she was never coming back?
That river stole my heart, it dragged me out to the ocean.
That river was so fast.
Still, I could've tried to stay but I didn't.
and I know I shouldn't have told her I'd be coming back sometime.
The less you know the better,
But unless you know this you'll never get it again, have her again.
