Well… Let me begin by saying that I don’t know a damn thing about midi…
Tracks with the loop include Track 1: a drum thing (LM-7) in Cubase, which gave me only a couple of bell hits out of all the notes (cowbell, high bongo, high conga, and high timbale); Track 2: an accordion VST I found on the internet; Track 3 & 4: An Oud and Kanun VST's I found. After I listened to some YouTube sounds of those instruments, I knew I was way off, but decided to leave those in there, too. Sounds like I’m playing those instruments with mallets…. :D
Added DOD drum loops to a new track. Wow, I had 45 seconds of song!
Track 6: I found a train horn track that worked well – made the thing longer with it. (Note: this track is one single full track I downloaded (mp3), and except for an initial pitch shift of the whole track to get it in key, and one more pitch shift up in the first measure of it, it is otherwise untouched - I was amazed and lucky how all the parts of it lined up in my song!)
I picked a tempo that's a bit like caffeine, compared to most of my songs, Heh.. it helps when you have a lot of songs to listen to in a short amount of time.
Enjoy!!
