Description
I decided to bring back one of my songs from last years Woodstock event because I really like the way it came out and because I'm a glutton for these kind of events. I did go in and make some adjustments to add a little more power to the track. I replaced one of the lead track and cranked up both leads a little in spots. I hope you like the way it came out.
Here's the story of how this original song came to be played at Woodstock.
We were in Alaska playing the Polaris Hotel in Fairbanks when we heard about Woodstock, so all the guys in the band decided it would be a blast to take a trip to the lower 48 and see what all the fuss was about. We piled in the van, hooked up the trailer with all the equipment in it and started down the Al-Can highway, headed for Bethel New York.
It took us nearly 2 weeks to get there, but when we did we just couldn't believe the size of the crowds and the sounds coming from the stage.
To make a long story short, we finally convince the Man to give us a rotation onstage. We were gonna warm up the crowd for some guitar player from out San Francisco way named Jimi something or other.
Anyway, we took the stage, and the site of somewhere near half a million people scared the Stuff out of us for a minute or two. Then we just said the heck with it and settled on playing one of our original blues numbers we'd done in Fairbanks, and around other cities in Alaska. It always seemed to get a good reaction there, and we figured we had nothing to lose.
One of the guys back stage had a tape recorder going, and we managed to swipe a copy off of him, so here it is, from the stage at the Woodstock festival, a little blues number called " Stoned Cold Lonesome Blues.

Verse
Well tell me now baby,
Have you ever had the blues
I said tell me pretty baby
Have you ever had those blues
Cause I got me some -a-them
Got those stoned cold lonesome blues
Ad Lib
Y'all out there having a good time tonight
Some crowd we got here,
we got about a million and a half people sitting out on the grass
Yeah, most of em smokin' it.
Yeah, look at that little chicky right down there on that blanket man
that's one fine looking flower child
Verse
Have you ever wondered baby
When you're gettin' the bad news, yeah
That it always seems to follow
You know you're gonna get da blues, yeah baby
Cause you gonna get some, yeah
Some of dem stoned cold lonesome blues
Verse 3
I got the blues now pretty Baby
I got them stoned cold lonesome blues
I got the blues pretty mama
Got them stoned cold lonesome blues
Yeah now one more time
I got the stoned cold lonesome blues
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
