Description
When I first heard the loop, I immediately began to' hear' a narrative...kind of a 'stuff you know' line of thinking. After I pasted a couple of minutes of the loop I recorded the narration nearly on the fly. I did write it down so that I wouldn't flub it, but for the most part it was off the cuff. I know what some might think I should be unqualified to use that particular accent and my apologies to those who are from my mother country. (Perhaps European, at least) Those who know might consider me a West Texas hay seed of the red-neck variety. However, I must claim that I am classically trained in the Theater Arts and have no qualms about pulling out what I might think is an English accent. My wife thinks I am emulating Patrick Stewart... well, ok... but at any rate, here it is. I wanted to tell a story and create a mood that was totally inspired by this loop. I added sax improv, with a underlying accentuating in-unison vocal. I wanted to add acoustic, but I am no guitar player and could only find one chord that would work. I asked my wife, Maureen who is a classically trained guitarist was kind enough to help out.

Lyrics
Narration:
I was asleep last night and I felt a presence in the house.
I couldn't put my finger on it but the air inside was palpable as if it could be cut by a knife.
I got up and looked around.
It was not quite normal to see someone sitting at my kitchen table at 3 AM.
He was already speaking when I entered, "It is better to serve God than to serve the devil", he said.
Then he looked at me, "It is a good thing to have something in your life greater than yourself.
Then I woke up...
and I was here.

...very cool! I'm really feeling this. It's nice to hear the loop in question used so quietly. It's not as in your face as is the case with many of the other LIOLI compositions (mine included). I really like what you've done here. Heh, I'm getting a Doors vibe just now as the track is wrapping up. Terrific, Andy.:)
