I posted this song ages ago and really rushed the mix. It ended up sounding like a stereo playing in a tin box. So, I promised myself one day I'd take my time and do a proper remix/master, and this is the day! This is quite the Flaming Lips ripoff, and though it's 2 chords over and over again and again, it remains a personal favorite of mine. It's meant to be a hidden track tongue-in-cheek kinda piece, but if you read the lyrics it's actually a pretty sad song.

Cool tune
Sounds like the drums may be a bit hot though. They seem to be overdriving. But other than that, the singing and songwriting are as always, excellent. Loved it.

thanks. i guess I should have mentioned it in the description cuz I figured it would come up - i ran the drums through the CamelCrusher plugin to get that overdriven hot sound, so it was intentional. i guess it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it's exactly what I was going for. glad you dug the song anyway though and thanks for the feedback!

...Sparklehorse here too. Very nice. Vocal choices are excellent and the new mix is very sweet. It makes me consider going back to some of my older stuff and start experimenting.

ahhh
the revisit. Look at all the "w"s in the lyrics. I've said it a hundred times, but I love when the sad mood of lyrics doesn't match up with the tone of the song. It's the musical equivalent of a Poe story. The horror and chills in a setting of a party or carnival.
