Description
This is a slow rock ballad style song. It features my dad on the string section parts, and my 9 year old sister on the solo cello at the end. Containing both jazz and classical influences, it is one of my few songs that does not have electric guitar. Enjoy!

Lyrics
Chorus: I can't let go of you
There's nothing I can do.
You'll just have to deal with it
I can't let go of you.
I've known you for so long
Then suddenly, you're gone.
I should have known and been aware
Of what was gonna come.
Now I've been left alone,
And there is no one home,
To help me, guide me, deal with me
The way that you would do.
(Chorus)
You buried me in snow
When you said you would go.
Now I am stuck, I can't move on
And leave behind my past.
And everywhere I look,
All I see is you.
You're haunting me through your betrayal
Of what had been your love.
(Chorus)
(Cello Solo)
There's nothing I can do.
You'll just have to deal with it
I can't let go of you.
I've known you for so long
Then suddenly, you're gone.
I should have known and been aware
Of what was gonna come.
Now I've been left alone,
And there is no one home,
To help me, guide me, deal with me
The way that you would do.
(Chorus)
You buried me in snow
When you said you would go.
Now I am stuck, I can't move on
And leave behind my past.
And everywhere I look,
All I see is you.
You're haunting me through your betrayal
Of what had been your love.
(Chorus)
(Cello Solo)

You have a good melody here, and your use of chords is sophisticated. I think the arrangement can be improved. Too often parts are all playing the same rhythm, which disrupts the flow of the song a bit. When you're arranging, ask yourself with each part if it really has something unique to say. Is how I approach arranging.
