Simply
gorgeous guitar work all around. This is truly music to lay under the stars and ponder the universe we live in... but that will have to wait for a day or two... right now its raining kittycats and doggies outside...

So I'll download this and get ready for the next starry night!

Gorgeous work!

Just beautiful...
I've been in a reflective mood all day... don't know why... and this really struck a chord with me. I've been out of work and have just been wondering what's next. This tune of yours seemed to ease my mind a little, so thank you, especially, for that. Wonderful playing. Look forward to listening to your other tunes.

thank you for the nice comments... a soundtrack? That would be something. So much of the music here at MJ by so many is the soundtracks for our lives. Great to have you stop in, thanks...

May be...
...your best recorded guitar sound, Jack... Very full and sparkly--your 'shimmering' keyword is on the mark... It's full, wide and deep--you've got a sense of left to right space and front to back space, and real resonance in the playing field... spacious all around... the lead work is like old slow playing from the early days of Fleetwood Mac... A very good headphone mix...

I'm always...
looking for your thoughts on my songs... helps me to know if I going in the right direction. Last time you suggested that when I record with the A2 effects in line that I also record into a live mic which I did (H2). That helped mellow out the acoustic strumming part. So thanks for the help. I had this progression for a few weeks. Only after recording the Washburn part did I decide to add an electric lead (Ovation/Applause AE). That was fun, especially tweaking the tone/effects.

Fleetwood Mac... now you've done it... overstating things!

Thanks Ed.

b2w... many thanks

for the your comments, and of course for taking time to listen. As I've written above in other replies, this was a fun piece to do. The guitar through the A2 effects pedal combined with the the guitar being mic'd via the H2 gave the thing a great base to work with when it came time for mixing. Best to you, and God bless.

I'm really enjoying
these instrumentals,, Jack. For some weird reason MJ is only playing the first 10 seconds of this, at least on my computer. hope others are downloading it to hear the whole thing, if this happens to them.

I imagine the stars appearing at each note off the guitar solo. Real nice...:-)

Will you do Acoustic High Noon for me? I love the ambience of the blistering sun. I like Cowboy movies, too! Make it shine! Maybe a corral song, like Aaron Copland made. Chaps flapping in the warm summer breeze. You know...

El Lardo...
You grace me with the presence of your elevated words on this, my lowly song page. 'Tis an honor to read your insightful review.

Would that be an Italian western cowboy movie you were referring to? Maybe a kind of Gary Cooper-OK Corral-Copeland in chaps kind of composition you are requesting?

Ah yes, I know.... ;-)

Thanks,
Jack

strumming along...

grooving the the warm blanket thing... floating as it tells you, and of course enjoying the ride (can't forget that one). All the time the lead saying, "have fun dudes and dudettes."

How's that for an interpretive reply? :)

thanks Tim.
