Description
This is a rather unusual piece and quite different from anything previous from me. In fact, it's from my next album called And Now, for Something Completely...
There are no loops: it is all MIDI. The piece itself is in three one minute sections, the 1st and 3rd being identical in instrumentation but somewhat different musically, with tympani carrying the melody (!). The middle section has a melody played by a harp as well as an orchestral percussion section.

These particular SOUNDS...
...I like!!! Your mini suite is percussively engaging and kept my interest completely. I didn't sense a "melody" per se, but I nevertheless found the composition satisfying and ingenious. I am so happy that there are no loops and that you just went out on your own to create something unique. I enjoyed this very much, Richard, and hope you will continue to experiment in this vein. Nice.
Peace.
Paul

strangely mesmerizing
I really enjoyed listening to this! There is this sense of wonder and joy, and yes it is unusual but works in its own way. I don't mind that there is no melody. The atmosphere you create is uplifting and childlike - and by that I mean that the approach is neither formulaic nor mental - more like spontanous expression - which is always refreshing and inspiring to come across!

You have
a knack at gentleness, persuasion in musical tone poems. This is like what the toy animals might make on the child sized piano and xylophone. But, they only play on the sunny afternoons ..when no one is home.
