Didn't you know Jack,
this is Earth music appreciation week. Since I didn't want to wear everyone out with full length versions, I took the high speed internet approach.

Thanks for listening and the funny comment Jack,

It's The Other Place
I want to be in this universe. As far as we know for sure, it's the only place where there are so many different types and kinds of music. So I figured what better way to represent Earth, than through the music you'll find here, and only here.

Thanks for listening Reinholt, glad you didn't have a nervous breakdown listening to it, am\nd that it brought back some memories for you,

Be well my friend

WOW
Absolutely love the dramtic transformations of this song. Hilariously 180 degrees and off in a different direction. Very original and interesting piece. Think you may have just about all types of music represented here! Beyond well done, pretty awesome really. Flexing those artistic muscles on this one and I must say, your pretty toned!

It was the only way I could think of,
to represent mother Earth, in the musical sense. As it is, there are a lot more kinds of music that are not here, than are here, but at least you get a little taste for the diversity of culture and music we have right here on our little corner of the Galaxy.

That's why I named it "The Other Place", it's the other place in the Universe I want to be, home.

Glad you enjoyed the ride Charles. Thanks for listening and the kind words my friend.

Be well

Perfect capper
to the SRC. When all is said and done, some marvel at the universe, some try to understand it, some do both, but there's home calling. It's not perfect, but there's no better place. Thanks for the tour through our musical culture. Brilliantly conceived.

Challenges make you get creative
because you have to come up with something you weren't planning on doing, and you usually don't have all that much time. That's why they call them challenges I guess.

One about them, they always fun to do, and you always learn more about yourself than you thought you would.

Thanks for taking a look over my shoulder Ice, I kind of enjoyed the view, and I'm glad to see you agree. Thanks for the kind word my friend,

Be well

It's a nice collection of Earth styles to represent our home world in the "Where would you like to be in Space" challenge. I figure someone needed to point out "What a Wonderful World" as Luis Armstrong sang, we live in.

glad you enjoyed the World Tour.

I guess with all that's out there, there's still no place like good old Mother Earth and this was a gentle reminder of that fact. Home world is still the high rent district in this parsec of space anyway.

Well Micheal
I thought to myself, everyone is trying to think of where in space they really would like to be. I figured, at my age, I'd rather be home than anywhere else. Because Earth has so many diverse cultures and forms of music, I thought you need a large selection to try and represent the planet.

Soooo, here tis.

Of course I didn't get everyone of them, but enough to give a decent listen to Human kinds taste for music.

Thanks for listening old friend. It's good to see you back on the tracks and making music.

Be well and be cool, Micheal

Earth FM: 98.6 on your dial & 8 miles high
I've heard of spaghetti Westerns, but this is more like a smorgasbord at the U.N. General Assembly fer corn sakes!

On the space theme, it likely sounds a lot like what the "visitors" hear when they tun into Radio Earth. Ironically, with broadcast falling to Internet audio, we're ironically sending less noise out there (even as we send more space-junk into orbit).

So, with deliberate mixed metaphor in hand, I thank for giving our ears something interesting to chew on.

As we withdraw into ourselves,
so goes the universe. It's pretty hard to explore the universe if you're always looking inward.

So our music is out there representing us for good or evil as the case may be. Me thinks that it is for good. For while there are some evil songs, there is no evil music. So when we're out there exploring we'll be turning our radio dial toward home and listening.

Welcome to Earth.

Ed

During the SpaceRace challenge, our mission was to write a piece of music about the place we'd most like to be in space. I did another song that covered that, but then I got to thinking that no matter where we go, or what we see, or even who or what we meet, there really is, no place like home.

Hence the music of Earth

Thanks for listening and the kind words my friend, they are appreciated.
