I'm with Ed - should be a mega-hit and with John, it does grab you from the first note. You and Des have really got the 'rock tune' nailed. It should be flying out of shops. Totally pro mix and amazing writing, musicianship and vocal. I would have definitely downloaded if it was available but feel totally privileged that you have sent me a copy. It is a treasured addition to my library along with that Bob Rodgers bloke's stuff and the other Rooster classics. Excellent work Really well put together and very solid performances. Great hook and progression. Nice variations. I liked the restrained solo. I wish the end wasn't quite so abrupt I'd have been happy just hearing the guitars fade....... Nonetheless, splendid work! Agree that this arrangement Is very "real" sounding--starting with really nicely done drums and strong guitar & bass sounds. I actually could imagine a preachy-sounding organ (lots of tremolo/Leslie) on the choruses, especially later in the song--or maybe more lead guitar over the choruses toward the end, to give the whole song a greater sense of propulsion. Overall it sounds "finished" as is--don't get me wrong, I'm impressed! Check out my latest song called Alma Mahler Sings to P. Diddy
