Lyrics
hired on, to write on the yellow paper.
just a machine, for making theorems
out of caffeine., I manufacture notions.
Immature, but I always liked implosions.
security clearance, top of the world ma.
won't see you later, heading down the controller.
going down to the zevatron.
sha na na na sha la la la la la la

flash the card, wave to the guard, but he's oblivious
trip down the stairs, then hit the swivel chair
fire up the collider, bring ya some clarity
inside a naked singularity.
my intervention , completely intentional
to shrink down the map 'til it's zero-dimensional, yeah.
going down to the zevatron
oppenheimer, boy scout, destroyer of worlds? please.
public reassured, but don't believe a word.
when I supercollide you, you'll know that you've been supercollided.
you won't feel the loss at all, you'll think it's impossible....
going down to the zevatron.
here comes a double strange omega

Metal -
Bubblegum, fantastic idea and I think you have succeeded beautifully. Amazing musicianship and song writing ability. You have flexed some very, very skilful musical muscles here. Superb.
Downloaded. Thanks.

Not
Exactly my preferred genre , but your stuff is always clever and amusing. Tight tones and some awesome riffage. Im gonna have to get that song writing for dummies book.

thanks buckhorn! I've heard your music and I don't think you need a songwriting book....
however I love instructional books and I discovered a much better one called "songwriting on guitar" by rikki rooksby... there's a lifetime's worth of ideas in that one....

I've always
been really disappointed MJ doesn't have a "Metal-Bubblegum" genre choice. Like the Archies trying to mix things up a bit. This is so fantastic. It goes from one style and back again seamlessly. Wicked cool popcore.

Did you see the forum post entitled "Is Reggie on Crack?" (embedded youtube video of the Archies).
Pretty funny.
Anyway I'm very glad you stopped in for a listen.

Love the psychedelic beginning!
Music is awesome. Ambivaent (of course) about the metal vox, although I dug the other vocals. Crunchy guitars rule. Drums are poppin' and hoppin'. Electric guitars in mid-song change up are very cool. Nice work man!

Be well!

thanks for taking the time to listen to it - I know how you feel about obnoxious, tuneless yelling and screaming vocals LOL. In my heart, I know singing is better but I just follow my compulsions.
this one came about from wanting to try out the metal guitar sounds on the guitar rig demo. I liked them enough to buy the full version, eagerly awaiting it in the mail...
I appreciate the listen and the comment!

Supercollided
Well, it's a helluva tune. Well constructed, unique blend of styles. slick guitar work, good vocals, good mix, comical use of the cliched stereotypes, powerful drums. Really like the guitar lead near the end. Good stuff.

thanks for your supportive comments...
the guitar part at the end is a backwards solo... I actually wanted it to sound more backwards but that particular guitar setting had a lot of sustain so it wasn't as obvious...

whoa
man you've got the coolest imagination. the chorus is off the charts creative with the sha na na's and the "my intervention..." break is equally good, just a splash of indie optimism and then back down to the bowels of metal. this and dantimmermans clumsy kisses are the MJ tunes of the month. also, the chatter at the end is fantastic. wicked wicked good tune dude.

really glad you liked it. I wasn't sure the metal/pop combination was something that should really see the light of day, but there isn't really anything to lose on this site is there? I must check out the other tune you mentioned...
thanks again for listening, I'm not really happy until there's a tempie comment on the page... :)

wow, that solo is amazing! is that you?
overall, the guitar tones are thick as hell and again your harmonies are top notch. the double strange omega bit got me laughing for some reason. Awesome!

glad you liked, the solos are me but I confess to recording multiple takes and piecing together the acceptable parts.... oh, and the last solo is backwards. guitar tones are courtesy of Guitar Rig software (I just got it).
I read somewhere that double strange omega particles can be created in particle accelerators.... I liked the sound of it... however my understanding of particle physics is nil!

Maybe it's just me...
but I don't see any genre crossover disparity here. For me this just works, and works well. Cracking guitars lead the way (those G Rig tones are awesome). I love your vocal here, you still manage to get all Matthew Sweet at times, yet it's a real metal song. I can see this accompanied by a really cool anime video with hot wide eyed Manga chicks and massive robots created from double strange omega particles, fighting in the streets of downtown Tokyo 2099.
Excellent work as ever.

thanks Paddy! I'm quite stoked about the guitar rig, I think those tones are a step up from my usual (although the pod 2.0 is pretty good in it's own right).
I'm not thrilled at how the yelling vocals came out, but hey, "it is what it is" , as they so annoyingly say.

Tron. Well you have created a real soft metal candy here and I like it very much. The production is great and someone played the guitar really cool there all the way through.
The lyric was not as bad as you made out in the description, you keep making them and I will come and listen. Great work, commercial quality...

Won't that hurt your fillings? OUCH!

You're nuts man. Everything about this song is nuts.

Excellent work with the fusion project. I can't even begin to imagine the world without it now.
