Un regolamento di conti - A Settling of Scores

Description
I just finished watching Sergio Leone's Dollars trilogy again. This time I really focused on listening to Ennio Morricone's scores and studying his techniques. The man is a genius. Anyway I felt very inspired and came up with a bit of a tribute to those guys with this piece. I'm working on a couple more now in hopes to have a trilogy of my own to post. I even went so far as to mock up a Spaghetti Western style Film poster (below) for this. What can I say? I love everything about the genre.

What an homage!
It sounds pristine and authentic all at once. I feel ready for a gunfight. Let me know when the movie comes out!

The next ennio
Great stuff. You've really captured the mood and the guitars are fantastic.
Brilliant ending ....and poster.
I think Morricone ( and John Barry) get overlooked because they compose for films and people get snobby about it but they are both top notch writers
Anyway, enjoyed and thank you for posting

yeah i have no idea why people can be uptight about film composers. to me film scores are just as important as the visuals. happy you dig this

very cool
nice homage to the master! so many good parts, but I esp. liked that bell sound around 1:33 and the wordless choral parts. (and of course tremolo guitar, but that goes without saying).
I don't know what it is about Italians and film soundtracks, but Nino Rota and Goblin also make really wonderful soundtrack music.

was a last minute addition. i don't know about Rota and Goblin but I'm going to check em out now. thanks for stopping by

the guy is a giant of music. the thing that blows me away about his composing is how he can write such epics. From The Good The Bad and the Ugly to The Mission. All gold. Glad you like.
