Lyrics
The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display His craftsmanship.
Day after day they continue to speak;
Night after night they make him known.
They speak without a sound or word;
Their voice is never heard.
Yet their message has gone throughout the earth,
And their words to all the world.

Psalm 19:1-4 (NLT)

Tom and Jody
This is beautiful, soothing and resonates with such a quiet Spirit. Lovely voice and guitar work. Since we never heard the Levites sing or David play this with his Kinnor, we can still get a sense of how this music sounded.. I think you may have gotten it right here.

Sweet singing, Jody. Anyone who can look up at the stars and not think of God is missing out. Very pretty Scripture song, and the GB birds sound good in here. :-)

Thanks!
We are glad you enjoyed our rendition of this Psalm. I too wonder what it might have sounded like in David's time. Music is amazingly universal, it's as if it was coded into our brains (do ya think?!). The musicians in the ancient temple were undoubtedly gifted, well trained and practiced - it must have been an incredible experience. As to the theme of this passage, well it certainly gives pause to the incredibly faithful celebrating Darwin's 150th anniversary.

I'm just an amateur who thankfully has a day job to pay the bills, but I do enjoy the sound and feel of the classical guitar. I also enjoy the original eclectic collection of music found on MacJams and the support and encouragement of jammers. Most... [see more]
