No One will be looking in the places that you hide

Description
This is a song from a Live performance last week. In our opinion it was a great live performance, and the recording is quite. I wish however that there were more drums and bass in the recording.

It is a song written by me. I play the acoustic and vocals, Angelo plays the elecric and sings backing vocals, stig plays the bass and Fredrik plays the drums.

We have recorded and released an EP nowadays, I will soon post another song from the EP, and when I do it will be available on Cdbaby, Itunes etc. This song is not from the EP, but it will probably be on the next!!

Thanks for listening!

Lyrics

No one will be looking in the places that you hide.

You are hidden behind your your mouth
Its not your heart thats coming out,
You want to go there, in your head
But you are hiding there instead
There should be someone that will miss you when your gone
There should be somenone.

No one will be looking in the places that you hide
But do you wanna hide for real
They wont find you cause you feel the way you feel

No ones wondering, where you are
Even if you travel far
I doesnt matter if you do it twice
Because you are hard to recognize
There should be someone that will miss you when your gone
There should be somenone.

No one will be looking in the places that you hide
But do you wanna hide for real
They wont find you cause you feel the way you feel

This is the time when noone wants you in their life

This is the time when noone wants you in their life
This is the time when noone wants you there

No one will be looking in the places that you hide
But do you wanna hide for real
They wont find you cause you feel the way you feel

as always...
That classic STRONG songwriting I expect from you. Nice stuff... very good recording for live, although the "reverb" on the main vox was ever so slightly distracting. This will be a great one to "studio-record". However, there is something really nice about hearing the introduction and applause at the end, very cool!

thanks!
Thank you for listening Eduard, it is always nice to get your point of vies. I agree that there might be yoo much reverb, but it is also a result of the vocals beeing a bit to high in the mix ( I guess you know why that is)

Strong songwriting and excellent performances from everyone. The mix came out great for a live performance. Like the quick modulation before the chorus.

Thanks
Thank you for listening. It is cool that you notice the modulation, it was actually a workaround, because i thought the chorus was in a too low key for me. So i decided to make small modulation there, but in some way it does not feel like a modulation!

A very strong song...
...and a solid live performance... Off the mixing desk, or did you put up some mics? It's very crisp and clear, not booming and thundering the way some live things can come out....

Your songwriting and singing are really strong, Magnus. Good words, good melodies, and you sure can sing 'em. When the whole band kicks in you really do a bit of a Michael Stipe there for a bit, and in my part of the world that's a compliment. I think the second guitar player does a nice job of doing just what the song needs at any given point.

I agree that in a perfect world I'd like to hear more of the bass end of things--the bass itself and the low end of the drums. But everything that's there is tight and well played.... I'll be the second to say that I'd love to hear a studio version of this... I'd also love to hear more warm tone from your acoustic guitar.... This is just looking towards a future recording, I mean...

The arrangement is well worked out and tight here. In my youth, this would've been a hit... I'd still buy it...

Thank you Ed!
Thanks a lot for your comment and compliments. It is recorded of the mixing desk, wish I had blended it with a recording we did with a camera in the crowd. We are also very much looking forward to record this song.

good live performance
kind of an REM feel here, the performance and recording are excellent. I especially liked the backup vocal, just the right amount of strain with solid pitch. good work

Good performance Magnus
I agree with what Ed said. I think the recording could have picked up more of the bottom end, but that doesn't take away from the performance. I often wondered what sort of sound you'd get with a compatible band of capable musicians - and here it is.
I'd definitely go to see you - hopefullyyou're getting some good gigs.

Thank you Neil!
It is so nice of you to listen and comment! Appreciate it it a lot. And thank you for the nice compliments. It is cool that you like me with a band, it is quite different then solo thing I was doing. And it is not me that write most of the songs in the band, that has given me time to practice my playing and singing :)!

Hey!
The Great One is BACK! This is really a nice tune man. I mean that. Moody. Insightful. Reminds me just a little of some of R.E.M.'s better tunes...

You're right, of course, re the bass and the drums. But YOUR vocal delivery carries the tune anyway, so don't worry about it.

Enjoyed!

Be well friend!
