Lazy Days

Description
Lazy (aka Z293's song writing style). This post was a good excuse to try out a few new things such as Izotope's Alloy and getting back into playing a real bass guitar. Never really liked the Guitar Rig bass sounds so here's a stab at Line 6's Pod Farm. Oh and even though our little friend in the picture looks lazy he can still rid this place of all the stinking squirrels around here lately.

Lazy
Nice full squirrel chasing guitar and bass.... and I can tell you are a bass player, for sure. Is that a sloth? Kinda slow for chasing squirrels, must be extraordinarily convincing in some other way. :)

Ha ha
yes, could not agree more.
Zed on the bass, anything you can't play?
And a very good job you did on it too.
Sonic start, with a great jazz bass styling and
flowing rhythm guitars. Everything is crystal in the mix, something that alludes me, yeah you should be out every night making people happy with your sound, folks pay to see lesser mortals get away with sheet!
Keep em coming they are always a real pleasure.

And there I was...
,,,both just finally paying for Alloy and deciding to try it out, AND just bidding on some used Line 6 Bass POD's on eBay 'cause I think they have just the best bass tone... Or maybe 'tones', 'cause they have a whole bunch of usable bass tones...

This sounds really good, Z, with lots of impact but also a sense of space and not such a squashed sound as people (me, for instance) can get fiddling with presets in software... This has got all parts of the sonic spectrum covered....

And then apart from all that, this just sounds musical.... I continue to enjoy your guitar playing very much....

I could play guitar like you I would probably never leave the house :-) Just a joy as always listening to you color and texture the beat. Stellar bass playing as well. Love that pic!

You wouldn't have to leave the house you would just rely on keyboard players in Massachusetts.

The bass sound was just a present right from Line 6 with a few added plug ins of course. Not usually do I get a preset that works right from the start.

An excuse to shine
You have such top notch equipment and software. And you know how to use it --- that's the main thing. Classic Z lines on the 1200. Yeah, that bass makes a big difference. I always like your approach to backing down the accompaniment and letting your lead guitar take center stage. Few can pull that off with such style and grace. "Lazy" obviously doesn't apply.

Sweet
bass. This tune reminds of something on Robert Plant's best solo albums. Cool tones from the Line 6.

I like how people compare others to something they would never think of. I just saw a special on Robert Plant's solo work and I really enjoyed it, so thanks.
