Some mighty fine playin' Stephen
Love the sound your getting on that Strat. Good mix my friend, but I do wish you had posted the lyrics, being a bit deaf and all. Being a person prone to using more Bass than is generally needed, or acceptable, I could have used more of it in the mix, but then again that's just me.

Love the picture of that totally delightful creature. I can see her inspiring many songs for many reasons, and seasons.

Like it I do, it's a cool little song.

Ed

Big sound Steve
Great guitars and vocals - more in your upper register in the chorus - like it. Are you using the Strat for bass still? Wouldn't mind a bassless copy to play around with if you have the inclination sometime Steve.
I like the way you do this style - cool song!

spinning the bottle
bass melody is super cool. love the little fourishes that bracket the otherwise simple yet effective mid tune solo. ending solo is smoking. i like that 'spin it for me' line too. just a cool laid back little stonesy tune.

I had the guitar backing done on this for a while....the lyrics just came very quickly out of the usual rhyming desperation. It was fun to play a good old fashioned guitar solo again
Cheers for listening

I think that
'powerpop' fits this perfectly. I can certainly imagine a band playing this great song and lots of swaying bodies - great lyrics too.
Perfect musicianship and production, the doubled vocals work really well.
Thanks for another download Steve.

This song does an admirable job
Keeping its laid-back vibe going throughout--even through the outro solo (whose tone is terrific, by the way: in another life I want to come back as someone who can play that style of electric guitar). Thanks for sharing!

I'm in it for the guitar...
I continue to enjoy your guitar blends on the rhythm tracks, Steve... and the solos are great...

If you ever get the chance to take this further, I'd love to hear a little more change-up on the drums...

Chugs very nicely
Laid back and starts off quite restrained for a rocker but you certainly start to blow at the end.

Great guitar work!

Good to get your comments! It was fun playing guitar on this one...nice to do a solo, haven't really indulged on the guitar solo front properly since "My fate in her eyes' track a few years back.
See ya tomorrow for beers at the Wheatsheaf!

Powerpop!
Haven't seen or heard that phrase in decades!

Catchy little number (which it seems to me would benefit from a faster tempo). Vocals and guitar work are top notch. Enjoyed.
