Description
This is a first-recording/first-draft/improvisation from this sunday.
Thinking on many friends that are still here (I mean, alive), but gone from our lives.

Should revisit it later and fix a couple of errors from this 'live' play but want to share it as it has touched me.
Sorry for the rough edges :)

Enjoyed it
another pretty melody. The only suggestion I have is that the song build more. I was expecting it to speed up as it went along. A change in emotion would be cool in this song. Just my 2 cents. Nice job

thanks
for the idea Charles. I guess a "celebration" part of it with a full orchestra (even a choir? :)) would really have that energy built into it. I'm trying it with some violins and it may be something to surely add. thanks again!

That may be cool
but I was more referring to the piano part getting a bit more complex with faster notes toward the end. Not necessarily "festive", it can still be in the same mode but with more angst.

Sweet.
Probably needs more variation in tempo or a second harmony woven around this one. Kind of sad. But very pretty. Thanks.

6 months...?
Wow...very impressive. This is somewhat reminiscent of a Beethoven sonata. Not an idle compliment. Just that feel and I'm particularly impressed with the way you separate the melody line from the accompaniment.
Nice tune.

Beethoven
wow! Thank you for your comment.
It's been quite an interesting 6 months period - specially the last month here at MJ. Learning a lot. Hope to be improving from composition to another.

Great composition
I like this moody piece. It just keeps me thinking about lot of things. This is a very good one-take effort. Look forward to your final version. Perhaps you would consider adding some strings to the second half of the song. Thanks for sharing / Mike

Gentle
That's some sweet piano playing. You're building on a simple idea, developing it, so the listener keeps paying attention, but still keeping a fairly constant mood without disruptions or large changes. Very nice.

Sad
But a soft edged beauty. Almost has a hymn like quality.
Very nice,
