STS-75 (The Broken Tether Mix)

Description
This space ambient mix is based on a fairly well publicised incident on the STS-75 shuttle mission, where the 'Tether Experiment' literally snapped and most of the Interent talk was about the drifting tether and the 'sparklies' and other floaties that appear on the longer videos, on Youtube. Just search for 'sts-75 tether' on youtube and then take a look at these videos with the video sound turned real low and listen to this mix. I hope you agree that the piece seems to fit and the drone adds to the tension.

Curious aliens
Fascinating. Thanks for the heads up on this. UFOs? Hahahaha. Well, people will believe in anything. The music is perfect. Love the drone.

Hi Duane.........
I just came across the sparklies sound on the Audjoo Helix synth that I've had for ages but never really got my money's worth out of. I had been watching all sorts of NASA film and came across these 'ice particles' with strange visual behaviour so I couldn't resist putting a soundtrack for any of the NASA bogie videos on youtube.

I watch all sorts of things and have a vivid imagination and agree with Carl Sagan in his 'contact' novel, that there's an awful lot of space if we're the only sentient people.

Take care.

Hi Vic.....
I had seen the videos a while ago and then when I heard the preset I thought that the two would fit together, so I mixed the bits and pieces and hoped that others would agree with me.

The more I think about the video the more I'm intrigued about the whole thing. Something was happening but maybe it was just vacuum physics, extreme cold, water particles, heat transfer instead of ufo's and more exotic ideas.

Thanks for stopping by.

Take care.
