Thank you so much for both of your help on this track, i tried to do it some justice.
Char, you amaze me with your enthusiasm and voice, i hope the experience was enjoyable, thanks for all the emails and many takes, i am sorry if i was a pain.

Why is this place
so hard to face
Gets colder here
with every year

Why can't i see it clear

Turn to stone

It is
of course, very familiar but this is a bit different from what I heard before. I hope you got what you had in mind... it speaks of a chilling and inhospitable atmosphere. I wish I could've done better. Bud's additions give it that trippy sound. Glad you finished it. Not a pain but a lot of learning. Thank you.

Whooooaaaaa!!
Now this is impressive!!

I love everything about this! Char, there are buildings on the other side of the earth crumbling because of your amazing vocals! WOW!!I love the twin vocal parts just around 4 minutes. I'm ba-loan away by your performance. Bud, dude, I know when you put your hand on something it takes on a new life form - a hideous, filthy... just kidding. That reggae harp sound is as if I'd never heard it before. Your bass is dark and dramatic and always a perfect balance with the other elements, namely Char's stellar vocals. Steve, this was a great project. You built an amazing atmosphere packed with imagery. Now I can scratch Japan off my list, cuz I've experienced the real deal!

D/L'd before I can't afford it!

Thank you!

Bob

Wow Steve - you really pulled this together
and Char - what a great vocal - but no surprise there. Can't imagine how mush work went into this in the mixing. Sounds great - your guitars and synths are excellent. BTW - the harp is actually a melodica - same kind played by Augustus Pablo. I had great time on this - thanks for the opportunity to work with Char again - and to mix it up with you.

Another good one
Char... wow. Jefferson Airplane -- NO REASON why it couldn't have been you. Only thing I'd beg for is more content.

Nice use of the sound bytes Steve.

Amazing vocal Char
and Steve and Kevin are no slouches either. I love the variations, and different sounds (although I'm not overly crazy about the scratchy sounds here and there). This moves in and out of form - a really good characteristic. Char, your vocals really are special here. Nothing is overdone, and it's all good - I'm even starting to like the scratchy bits :)
Top post!

That's quite the lineup. What a unique sound. Amazing. One of Char's most compelling performances. Great mix. Sounds are coming at me from all directions. It works well. Fantastic array of sounds. Again ... unique. Well done.

Unique sounding collaboration. A feeling of desperation and of being hopelessly lost pervades this track. Some very eerie trip hop/art rock.Nice work.

honto ni...
"It's true"... "The child is small"... "speak a little" it was fun to listen to the Japanese snippets and try to remember my vocab lessons from ages ago...

Char's elongated singing is eerie, and fits your writhing music bed really well. Great musicianship here, Steve, Kevin, Char. Unsettling in a weirdly satisfying way. :)

So This Is What
Trip Hop should sound like. As I'm listening I was wondering what genre is this? Really great mix of textures, Char's voice cuts right through, Bud's bass is solid and powerful and I'm loving the wah in the guitar sections.

I thought I'd give it another listen. Your stuff is frighteningly original. It has a psychological effect and it disturbs a bit. Thanks, again.

The bleakness
and the inhospitable nature of the place is clear. The Japanese interspersed within stresses the foreign-ness. there are parts that I just love. Wonderful work by you and Bud. I'm not crazy about the vocals. I wish she could have done that better. Maybe try a chipmunk next time? Lol. Thanks.
