Space Soundscape #1

Description
I know that in space you can't hear anything, but Space Soundscape sort of sets the piece off. Call it poetic license even though there are no words and there's no license, only the local off-license.

It a typical R56 mix of soft synths and effects, mainly Zebra 2 and Ambience Verb.

As always I enjoy reading your thoughts about my soundscapes, good or otherwise.

I put the piece together at the beginning of October and forgot about it, so it's not exactly where I am with my music at the moment. It's unlikely that I'll add any more in the series even though this is #1.

Firsties?
A bit strange to comment on an 8 minute song that's only been on the site a couple of minutes, but I thought it was fun. The intro is nice enough, a true dark space ambient Reinholtian piece. Sweet!

Take care.

Hi Henke........
I was just about to log out when I saw that someone had commented. Thanks for being first!!!! I double checked the fades before I uploaded, so you should find them less abrupt. Hopefully.

Take care.

Hi Shadow......
I guess I'll just have to brush up on my language skills then. Music has the same meaning in any language.

I'm very glad that you enjoyed the trip. It makes all the mixing and other stuff worthwhile if someone went somewhere whilst listening.

Take care.

while
it may be true that you can't hear anything in space, the chaos in your head would be deafening. some great sounds here, very warm sounding too. such a great thick sound. i really like this one. i think i always prefer your pieces with the more open less rhythmic feel. this one fits into that category and what is that cool rhythmic spaceship sound in the background?

Hi Michael......
The synths used were Superwave-Pro, 2 instances of PureVM and Amphetamine (the soft synth!!), all free synths as far as I remember.

I enjoy the less rhythmically constrained pieces as I put them together. Sort of anything goes, and if it fits, use it.

Thanks for stopping by to listen.

Take care.

Hi K.....
You'de probably be feeling just the tiny, tiny pull of Sagittarius, the centre of 'everything' cosmically I believe.

It's great that you've listened and found the experience enjoyable.

Take care.

Artistic license
You are certainly granted that, as long as you keep producing these wonderful ambient pieces. I'm amused (but not surprised) by your comment that this goes all the way back to October. Hahahaha. Given my plodding rate of production, you can see why I would find that funny. This is a powerful piece of work. Deep and serious. It demands attention, and that is a desirable attribute.

Hi Duane.....
Thanks for your very kind comments. They only spur me on to do more.

I was thinking about the mechanics of the multiverse so came up with a few soundscapes, one of which is hot off of the DAW.....so to speak.

I'm going to upload it now. It slightly different in make up, but still R56-ish.

If I have an idea or two I make lots of takes and then, over weeks or months, mess and mix again and again and so seem to have lots on the go at once, but it's only true sometimes. Today is one of those days....

Take care.
