Description
This was just a session (I had with my puter band in the beginning of November. There's a little of me and a little of the iMac in this band, but it turned out so good I thought I'd share it with Y'all.

Enjoy, and Happy Thanksgiving.

Hey there Maurice
Good music is good music, no matter what. While there's a lot of loops in this, there's also a good bit of me in it, so I figure what the hell, let it go and entertain some folks.

Glad you liked the song my friend. Thanks for listening and the kind words.

I played some, then Mac played some. Then I played some more, and Mac played some more. And so it went until this baby was cut, mixed, and mastered.

I cannot lie Jack I'm playing the Organ and some of the guitar work, while Mac is playing the rest. But it ended up to good to not post. Thanks for the kind words my friend,

Loops?
I thought it was, Ed on stage, hehehe... You're too good my dear friend, who can hear this is mixed with loops? and as you said good music is good music, no matter what. I have to agree, it's just about the music and that you put your soul in to it.
I sure dig this, and soon I take me a whisky and have this loped.

Take care of you and yours, cheers

Ed and the mac city Jam Band. Only part of this is loops Kenta. The drums, Bass, and some of the guitar are loops. The rest of the guitar work, and the organ is me,

Smokin' blues Ed... You can really make those guitars talk. Beautiful tone, that rhythm guitar is smooth as butter. Drums and bass provide a classy frame for the exceptional guitar work, and the mix is crystal clear.

Glad you enjoyed this one my friend. Bass & Drums are loops as is some of the guitar. The rest of the guitar and the organ are mine. That rhythm guitar is done with loops I found and put to work after I modified them some.
Thanks again for the listen Dave and the kind words.

Boy is it ever
But that's why they invented the blues, so you can play till you feel better. And it really does work. Don't believe me ? Try playin' a mess a blues for a while and you'll know what I say is true.

Tell me that's your Telecaster....
...that looks like it has some Strat pickups...

I really like the guitar tone and the guitar phrasing.... The organ playing, no matter if artificially contrived, sounds nice, too....

Ed

God I wish I had that Tele
Unfortunately, my Tele is a peavey copy, although it does have some very good Strat type pickups on it. Makes it easy to switch between the Strat and Tele sound in the middle of a song, so that's a big plus.

That organ is all me and my SY99 Yamaha synth, and most of the lead is on the Peavey

Glad you enjoyed the music Ed.

Sounds
real good Ed. Nice slow easy blues, like the tone you get with the Tele, even if it is a copy. Wow, an old Laney amp, thats a classic amp from the past. Sweet vibrato too.
Check out my latest song called '76 LP Alt
sloparts said 2934 days ago (November 28th, 2009)
I've had the Laney since
about 1998 I think I got it, but I just bought the Peavey Tele in a pawn shop about a year and a half ago for about $120 I think it was. They work really good together, especially sing the Laney is running the Kustom 15" PA speaker with a horn in it. The combo works very well. As I recall the Vibrato is an amp effect I used in Logic along with a little reverb.

Thanks for listening Bill, glad you enjoyed the show, and sent along the cool comment on it.

Ed

Did the Mac feel better later? :)
Some nice playing Ed. Using loops and such for backing is not that much different from having a great bunch of session players as far as I can see :)
The lead playing here (that's you Ed isn't it) sounds terrific - some great phrasing and a lovely sound. I really like the way you have such a good feel for the phrasing.

Heck yeah,
the Mac was the only thing in the studio that was not blue when I finished. I gotta tell the truth, most of that lead is me, but a few small bits are loops, some fillers here and there.

I was having way too much fun on this night to not post this one. It just seemed to flow out like water from a pitcher.

Thanks for listening Neil, glad you liked the music.

Glad you liked this Slo Blues number. I had help with the band, and a couple of fillers on the guitar, but I was having a lot of fun playing on this one. Feels like I was playin over my head, but who knew. Besides, on slow blues like this you've got time for the notes to breathe.

Thanks Bro for the listen and great comments.

Smouldering
I believe is the term used for this sort of music.

Your playing is enjoyable as always.

Ok, your rhythm guitar and lead are too close in tone, so they sometimes get in each other's way. Use a different guitar, and different amp?

To me Mark
The Blues is something you either feel, or something you copy from someone who does fee itl. Either way it's still the blues, but the audience can tell the difference.

I love this kind of feeling, especially when I can capture it on "tape".Unfortunately that doesn't happen nearly often enough for me. Thanks so much for listening Mark, and the very kind comments. I really appreciate that my friend.

you sure go into many interesting directions and this one sounds like BB is right in the room with you ! Like how the guitar contrasts with the hammond organ sound. Thanks for the comments on the guitar chops. Yes some of that is mine, but some of what you hear are loops too. Just thought it was important to clear the air on that.
