You Make The Difference

Description
I originally posted this song in 2006. I like this song. It's the only song I've recorded in which my wife plays a part... she wrote the lyrics, wonderful words. This is pretty much how it sounded when I originally posted it (few eq tweaks).

Actually I just checked, it was August of 2005 when I first uploaded this song.
Pastel watercolor artwork by my daughter Laura.

Lyrics
I come to You and You hear me,
I come to You and You care.
I bring my heavy load and You take it,
Your peace with me You share.

You make the difference in my life.

I sing to You and You hear me,
You stay close cause You care.
I lift my heart to You for hope,
Your tenderness is there.

You make the difference in my life.

I walk away and You stay with me,
You call cause You care.
And when I turn around,
Your love I am aware.
You make the difference in my life

How cool is that to collaborate with your wife? Sweet song. Like your singing and the ringing open chords.

It is cool to have...

done a song with my wife. Actually she wrote the words about 20 years earlier (1985). I found them and told her I wanted to put them to music. She consented, and our song writing team was born!

John thanks for your generous comments.

Thanks Moviz

for stopping in and listening to the song. Laura is quite talented. She is the artist of the picture on Alimar's Wingiggle song. Actually her poem inspired his composition.

Thanks again for the nice comments.

the family Von Dadai....
;-)
Behind every successful man is not one, but two women! The guitar on this one is my 29 year old Applause acoustic (one of their originals- all fiberglass/aluminum neck). Shows you what a little eq software can do....

Thanks Vic.

I'd download it....
...but it's been in my iTunes for years....

Still sounds good, though.... Nicely simple, even minimalist... And it's beyond nice to have its proper album art to add to the mp3....

Hi Jack
I like the uncluttered production on this. The various guitar parts make a perfect backdrop for the song.
Very nicely done!

Sounds familiar Jack
It's always interesting to re-visit songs from the past (although 2005 isn't that long ago ...... is it?!). This was/is a great song.

Re-visits...

I just had to repost this one. Being the only collab with Barb, and it was really a one take vocal... I had no idea how I was going to sing it when I recorded the take.

Thanks Neil. Best to you and yours...
