Description
This song was a study of moral ineptitude. I laugh at how many times a comment I make is a direct reflection of personal observation as I make it about someone else. It is a defense mechanism that I use to hide unsettling truths. I am not as smart as I would like. I am not as kind as I would like. I have always been proud of the fact that I can see the truth in the ugliest actions and there again a pride in born in that place. This song started as a reflection on a Man who comes to the truth of love. At the end of his allusions he willingly confronts the lies he has lived. I worked it as a poem and turned it into a song. The disturbing qualities of this song come from the obseravation of the poem as they turn into lyrics. Both are from the heart just different places. The first hides as a confession of guilt followed by the resubmission as a observation. And now in this definition as a truth again.

Lyrics
in loves arms again
draped completely in
held up to the sun
warmth pours over me
and though I know your coming alive
I cant let you see me shrivel and die
and now I know my place
I begin to fall under winter skies
I have fallen from grace
over you and over me
Im getting over the fanticy
wedding bells dreamers in a dream
close your eyes your spinning in the skies
we breathe in the night under lucid dream
and though I know your coming alive
I cant let you see me shrivel and die
I know its a lie
and now I know my place
I begin to fall under winter skies
I have fallen from grace
over you and over me
it spills down and all around
sleep sound in the clouds
its pleasing to be pleased
she and I freely blowing in the breeze
we breathe in the sky under lucid dream
and though I know your coming alive
I cant let you see me shrivel and die
I burry my eyes
and now I know my place
I begin to fall under winter skies
I say goodnight

A very different vibe from you
but then again, that isnt too surprising. Some pretty dark and introspective lyrics there. Always a pleasure to hear your new stuff. Enjoyed it.

Alternative
in so many ways, can't remember the name of the band this reminds me of, an oldie from the 70's anyway I really enjoyed the off beat zany approach, just the kind of thing I dig...

The Man
Man this is genius. Totally original sound you have. Love this more acoustic, organic approach. Wonderful backing tracks. Totally cool second part. Love the female backing vocs. And then that fiddle, whistle interlude. Wow. Sick bass part, too. THIS MUSIC DEFIES DESCRIPTION and stylistic comparisons. I love that!! FAV'D.

This all works. the vocals are penetrating... seems to reflect the words of the song and there is a lot of craziness here and I like it.

Listening, head cocked to one side
This is really unusual, in a good way... I really like the music backing, and as always, your lyrics and singing are evocative, and swirl dark images in my mind. The sung melody fits rhythmically well in the music, but the harmonies are strange, and per your description, intentionally... so that is good, it really makes me listen sideways.

nice
dude 0:58 pulled me right in. This is really cool. I love the vibe of this track. Your vocals sound good as well. Very early 90s grunge feel to your voice. its like alice in chains meets scott weilend from stp.

Your songs and
sound do have a surreal quality about them and very 'arty' in their performance..... love the words and though you say above that you're not as 'smart' as you'd like, I learned a long time ago that 'intelligent' and 'learned' are two different things. Intelligence comes from within and being 'learned' just means you've got a good memory LOL. I think you're intelligence is what creates original songs like this, regards M
