Lyrics
On the grass

There are so many roads, in this small world.
So many curves; zig zag zig.
There are so many things one can not understand,
Some things are small and some things are big.
Some things are black, and some things white.
Some things are yours and some things are mine.
Some are so small they could sleep in a bowl,
in the depth of a forest, like sneaky little trolls.

Your'e laying on the grass and looking at the sky.
Stop think about things that are difficult and sad.

Melt in the sunshine, like a concentrated light.
Where everything is blue, and everything smell so good.
Hand someone your hands and they'll hand you theirs.
Don't feel weird, when you're being kissed by one's simple heart.
Walk in your forest with the elks and the bears.

Your'e laying on the grass and looking at the sky.
Stop think about things that are difficult and sad.

lush

Thank you for your words
I am actually producing them in real-time. Some call it quality, some insanity and we all know the bridge in between is narrow. I happen to be at home, after traveling in my profession, so I only have a small window, but huge ideas and creativity piled up. Thank you for taking the time to listen, I appreciate it enormously.

Point taken Vic! :)
I have honestly never ever managed to master either my equipment, i.e. set everything up to best possible sound quality - not the mastering/mixing of the final recordings. Every time I make a recording it's unfortunately a guessing game. Not as far as my ideas, no guesses here - but with everything else that follows.

On the grass
This song has your style but I think the chorus has more of a melodic character than some of your others. Like the harmonies you are using here. BTW, I use channelstrip, which is for garageband. The best $79 you will spend. Gives great compression and eq options and has a great de esser. Makes the garageband productions sparkle a bit more as well.

Beyond studio-smart
That's some killer focus in a diverse & tight arrangement. Assuming you're reaching for more than studio competence (table stakes), you've got a great, eerie/evocative set of lyrics and delivery that's up to the task. Great tune.
