Imagine a light-speed journey around the Cosmos. This soundscape is my idea of how I might experience the journey. I think it fitting that I finish my time here depicting a journey. Isn't that what life is all about?? A journey and experiencing things along the way.

This will be my last piece as far as my own music is concerned on Macjams. I have come to the end of my time here as an artist. There are many reasons for this and all I will say is that my music will stay on the site.

All the very best to everyone for the rest of the holiday and 2010.

Hi Karen......
I've been debating with myself for a while and it's time to stop my uploads here. All things end. I will be around some, as a listener or maybe a collaborator, as I've a couple of projects that I intend to finish some time. I'm learning new music making techniques and that takes time and there are more personal issues that have changed my focus on things somewhat.

Have agreat holiday and 2010.

Take care.

I can only echo the above. You are one of the reasons I like coming by here: your kind and thoughtful comments on my own efforts have been truly appreciated and will be missed.

This is a great, great piece Paul. I do hope there will be more like it.

Hi Dave.......
I'll be checking in from time to time, but my R56 music uploads will end. It's been coming for a while and now is the time to end things, at the close of 2009. I'm still around on Facebook, although even there I'm around less and less.

I've enjoyed our dialogue and my visual trip across the 'Pool, and your music is some of the finest Ambient I've heard on here. I'll be keeping an eye on the Ambient genre especially.

I hope you and your family have a great holiday and I wish you all the best for 2010.

Take care.

It has been a journey
Paul, this is a shocker. I'm sure you have your reasons, and that you've thought this through. But I'm saddened to hear of your departure. You are the consummate gentleman, and your music has been an inspiration. As you know, I have especially enjoyed your musical space journeys, finding them to be quintessential examples of my favorite brand of ambient. You are a master of the form, and your absence will leave a void here at MJ. If you ever reconsider, and I hope you do, we will welcome you back most enthusiastically and most gratefully. Take care of yourself, Paul. Best regards.

Hi Duane......
I dropped you a Note before writing this, so you know a little more about what's going on. I've also enjoyed your Ambient music. To me it is 'Thinking Man/Person Ambient'. You put a great deal of work into your pieces and it shows in the overall effect that your music has, on me at least.

I'll be keeping my eye on things astronomical and and other bleeding edge science, as always, and will be doing music and learning techniques as time will allow.

Take care.

I am so saddened by the fact that you are leaving. I always think of you as a kindred spirit. Doing what you love, always. Thanks for your gift of music, best of luck with everything you do, and if you reconsider, we'll all be thrilled to see you back.

as for the tune: one of your best. beautiful and soothing and reminiscent of tangerine dream in their heyday.

Hi Michael.....
I have enjoyed our dialogue here at MJ's and will still be around, listening/reading, from time to time. My music production will continue but in a less frantic mode and as time allows.

I hope that you and your family have a great holiday and 2010.

Take care.

Cosmic Journey
almost spiritual! a calming, beautifully rendered ambient composition. I too am saddened to hear of your decision. I hope all the reasons resolve themselves and you choose to share your gift here once more.

Hi KTB.....
Life is changes. Nothing remains the same. Entropy kicks in, as it has here with me at Macjams. It has been a good ride and this is just a temporary resting place along The Way.

It is, for me, another Turning Point in my own Journey. The title of this piece is an apt one, and chosen with some care.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and more music will be forthcoming, just not here, and some time in the future. You never know...if you Google Reinholt56 next year, you may find some new project that I've been working on.

Take care and have a great 2010 and beyond.

Doppler's got the blues
It is indeed sad to see you speeding away... however, I shall instead dwell on the absolute JOY you have brought me, and others here, as you sent beams of light and friendship and collaborations in all directions here. I personally learned a lot from your experimental musical journeys, and ic42/Drakonis will always be appreciative of your gifts. I am very happy to have gotten to know you and offer you the animated movie for your "Cosmic Symphony" along your journey. Please focus on the important things in life, health, family, friends. Macjams is but a stepping stone for many of us, and I do hope to see you flashing through the stars in the future... I'll be watching for you.

This piece is quintessentially you, with some additional subtle touches thrown in that give it extra flair (e.g. the "water" at 6:39). Very nice... thank you Paul!

ttfn, (ta ta for now... I always mean that)

Hi Eduard......
Thank you for the video to my Cosmic Symphony. I think of this work often and this last piece here is put together with that earlier music in the back of my mind. I will always be grateful for your time and creativity in putting the project together. One of my two reasons for returning (temporarily) would be to add my Rekindled mix to all those that have been done before. I work on my version/s from time to time and would like to finish one mix before the end of 2010.

Thank you for your kindness and help across the whole of Macjams.

Take care.

Hi Char....
I have enjoyed your music/singing over the last couple of years and will certainly stop by to listen to any new pieces that you upload.

Thanks for the kind thoughts.

Take care.

Henke said 2911 days ago (December 27th, 2009)
First, this is truly a great space ambient piece which sums up a lot of your uploads "recently". Very calm and meditative but still with that extra nerve one would expect from a cosmic journey like this. I am happy you let us download, I have got a few of yours in my collection by now (about 23) and so I will be able to enjoy your music in the future too. Which leads to

Seconding the above comments of missing future posts from you here at MJ. First Narad and now you. MJ will be the poorer. You will be missed but the more welcome back the day you choose to return.

Last: Thanks for all the good music you have posted here and take care in whatever your plans may encompass in the future.

Hi Henke.......
Thanks for letting me know that you enjoy listening to my pieces. it makes the creation of these mixes worthwhile if someone listens to them beside me and my mum!! Ha ha.

I will be putting other new stuff out there on the Interweb, but less often, so just keep your eyes/ears open and you'll come across these other pieces. Ambient music will still come exclusively from Reinholt56. Other stuff may be from other psudonyms.

Take care.

Hi Shay......
Thanks for listening and leaving your kind thoughts. I enjoyed putting this one together and thought it would be apt for a final soundscape here at Macjams.

I'll pop in from time to time and maybe leave a comment or two.

All the best to you and those close to you.

Take care.

Formidable work here
An allegorical piece of your own experiences perhaps? I think I've run out of descriptors that actually come close to what I find in your music without taking anything away from it's wonder and power to engage. This piece is no different, save for it being all the more immersive and meaningful in a way of knowing that is not expressed in words. Thank you for this gift.

Paul your music has always inspired me and many others, and I only regret that I have not been on MJ with enough regularity to keep abreast of your musical releases. I hope that I can find your newer works either on another site or under another name in future. The world would be a poorer place without the impact of what you have brought forth (and I'm sure will continue to bring forth).

Apart from your musical prowess, you have always impressed my with a true gentleman's generosity, now exemplified by your leaving your music here for the world to share, as well as by your depth of questioning about life, the universe and everything.

I wish you all the best in whatever direction you take, and may you come to know that which you seek, find expression for that which you come to know, and open hearts with that which you so freely share.

Be well my friend,

Hi Doug......
Thanks for all your support and kindness. I am going through a change of focus, so music is taking a back seat, from a creation point of view. There are other things going on with me that I need to give the time to. I've posted a couple of other pieces to the 'other' music site. Just search for Reinholt56 and you'll find my stuff. Nothing new, just old tracks that I never finished at the time.

Take care.

Sir Reinholt
Your output and level of creativity is incredible - i used to think i was quite prolific until I came across your work! I'm really glad we had that one collaboration back in 2007 - I'm sorry I haven't commented or listened to as much of your stuff as I would like to - I find lifes obstacles outside of macjams very overpowering.but hopefully you will keep your music here for it to be heard by the wandering world - and me to listen to.This piece is stunning.. really beautiful.Good luck with the journey, and who knows maybe you'll check back from time to time.A toast you with this glass of cider I hold in the dark dampness of this cellar I call a studio! ps.. by the way
the emotional residue from this track when it ends is really quite disturbing! I'll try and keep it disturbingly positive.I dont know whether to break down or buy more cider.Really fantastic and leaves lots of changing abstract multicoloured designs drifting around in my minds eye.Genuine art.RG
