thanks
so much for the words. I love the vocals, they really do express something more than most hip hop songs will allow. and I didn't even need a rapper ;]

Time for Us
Hi Joseph - nice job! the long sustained organ (?) notes would be a lot more effective if they backed off a little instead of being so "in my face" (or ears - lol) - or maybe just reduced volume on those organ sustain in the mix would solve that problem. congratulations for starting to really take some time to work on a song - your results will reflect the combination of thoughtfulness + effort + time and quality will take a huge leap forward. happy holidays!

gotta agree with tha
Great stuff but the organs bother me and take away from the beat.
Great job nonetheless

yeah
I've heard it from a few people that the organ was too loud, but i don't know, I made this to have heavy bass to level out that sound. I think the bass is crucial, otherwise the organ notes do really stand out too much. I'll have to work on mastering for all different kinds of audio equipment.

Nice man
this is ill... i'm glad you took the time to really create a masterpiece. A beautiful composition indeed, I love the vocal samples especially the main one relating to consciousness. I'd love to make a song out of this or a version without that main vocal sample. Thanks for posting.

yeah
i can cut most of them out except one in the intro, shorten it into less time, make the loops more accessible for a rap. I got another friend who would like to mess with it for fun also, so i'll post a rappable version eventually

I've been producing as long as I've been on mac jams. not really producing= - just throwing tracks together. I hope to one day learn how to truly 'master' a track, how to sample better, and how to make nice sounding synths. I JUST learned how to do d... [see more]
