Lyrics
Hello my darling
Drink up your wine
Instead of sleeping
I just had in mind
Be mine

We made a promise
Can’t you recall
I’ve seen you trembling
Don’t worry it’s me
That’s all

Promised we’ll keep on
Promised we’d hold back
Horrible words instead

Promised the whole world
Promised to never die
Darling my heart’s on fire

Hello my fellow
Finish your meal
I’ve seen you talking
With people that were
Unreal

Lonely and sober
Smiling at you
I never hope that
I’ll do what I have
To do

Promised we’ll keep on
Promised we’d hold back
Horrible words instead

Promised the whole world
Promised to never die
Darling my heart’s on fire

Hello my darling
Drink up your wine
Instead of sleeping
I just had in mind
Be mine

Interesting but not prog rock surely?
Yeah, this is quite interesting but it's just not in the
right genre. Lyrics are great but there's not enough
going on in the song musically for my preference.

very sparse
perhaps a little too laid back but a very nice feel nevertheless

Minimalistic
Less is more. I like your Vocals and your Lyrics are good.I am excited for

Minimalistic
Hey, thanks again Wildcat (I'm anxious to know your real name in fact). I was surprised someone commented on this song 18 months after the upload.
Well, this is my lowest-rated song so far, and I really can imagine why. It's just the most minimalistic. If you think you could add something to this song, just go ahead. Or if you want to use it as a base to a new song of yours, just let me know.

As i told you i like this song especially of it minimalistic charakter.Focus
goes to the Vocals and thats one of your strenghts.
But it´s also a challenge to get together with you in this song.
I am an absolute Beginner and need some explainings ...
If you like to help me a bit, I would try to colab with you.

I'm more of a Westvleteren man
but there's nothing wrong with Westmalle. Unfortunately those beers are
unfindable in the US.

I dig this tune. Very low budget and low-fi. Sparse instrumentation, but
that works just fine given the mood of the song. Interesting drum sound.
EQ'ing, or some other effect?

Very nice for late night listening.

I'm more of a Westvleteren man
Hey man, you got a real good and exlusive taste... for bears. Westvleteren has become the most wanted beer in the world I guess. People are lining up these days to get one lousy sixpack of this godly brewed liquid. Whenever you intend to come to Belgium, be my guest, and I won't let you go back before you tasted all of our 300 beers :-)

About the drum sound: yes, I did some Eq-ing to make it sound more as an isntrument, rather than a supporting beat. I might redo the vocals someday, because at that time I had a very lousy microphone.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Vic.
Cheers!

This is smooth.
It reminds me of a darker, and better worded, iteration of the song
"Fever". Thanks for the post. It may be low-rated, but then it is lo-fi
and lo-fi music isn't something everybody can get into.
Keep rockin eight bits at a time,

thanks
Thanks for your comment on my 'lowest rated' :) One does not expect much
reaction on a song that is online for almost two years already... Some day I
will rework this song. - Walter

Dixon Melvinia
This strikes me as a kind of Willie Dixon's "Weak Brain, Narrow Mind" run through the Melvins "Goose Freight Train" ... sludge minamalism. Excellent. Perhaps a bit of Television's math rock (Johnny Jewel) in there as well.

This is great
This track has a few elements of my favourites rolled in: Lou Read, Joy Division, to name but a few. The jazz drums rocks. Definately one for my favourites. Mizieya
