Description
A tune based around being a bit peed off with work, snow, politics and everything ...but hey this came from that so it may not be all that bad......I once again sort of took a breath every now and then and (for me) left a bit of space here and there....

Hey you can't go wrong with a bit of blues! Snows now turned to slush and politicians will be rabbiting on until May. I can sort of feel the good time you were having playing this, presumeably live in one take?

There is a bass
which you notice when it's not there, strangely I do not completely 'get' the mixing side of this music creativity so my mixes tend to favour the more obvious instruments.....and things change from the WAV mix to the MP3 mixdown...Thjanks for stoppping in tho' and having a listen Cheers,Jarvoid.

Like the slow
jam blues vibe you have going here. Reminds me of the "stray cats" as far as guitar tone is concerned. May be an option to put together a collab to get some bass and drums in there!

Chris
from a playing point of view, I love the guitar - great tone and solid playing (also a brave decision to go with a full song of soloing - I panic with an 8 bar solo!). Probably falls down a bit in the rhythm section, with the bass a bit low in the mix and the drums somehow clipping (especially the kick) in my phones - maybe excessive compression (something I've only recently figured out how to overcome). I think VicDiesel summed it up pretty well.
Cheers from Oz - where it's warm and sunny :)

Jarvoid said 2661 days ago (January 14th, 2010)
Thanks my Toasty Ozzy friend,
I feel so much better now !! I think that both you and VicDiesel are right. I think that I concentrated on the gtr and threw the other two tracks together, the bass was just one pass on the keyboard and the drum track I had lying around.....so with the confidence garnered from good comments on the guitar part Iam going to have a revisit to drums'n'bass...Thanks for the great input.

Toe tappin head rockin blues
I cannot imagine playing something this long and recording it so very well it in one go. That's why I use virtual instruments :)

Nice lilting quality to your guitar playing, and the reverb is just the right touch. Id keep close to those politicians if they are this powerful a muse for you.

Be well,
Doug

Solo city
You carry it off well and my only gripes would be that the bass and drums need some work and it's maybe a tad long (which may be sorted by giving the drums and bass a bit more to do).

Cheers

You can do it!
Some cool stuff here. This makes me wanna plug into my old ProReverb and crank the spring reverb. Great old, clean tone, very '60s. If you wanna take my lousy advice, I'd tell you to tighten up the structure, create a melody line and chorus and/bridge hook or two, and solo though the "verses," as well as tightening up the drums and boosting the bass. You can do it!

That live sound is great, just like sitting at the club. A very long jam, my fingers only last about four minutes. Good duration, and I like the way you broke loose at times from the pentatonic scale.
