Description
I just wanted an excuse to play my A harmonica.

I really hate the sound of my own voice though. Singing is hard.

So blowing the
harp is easier than singing ? You seem to be doing both just faahhnn, a nicely bare boned bluesy country thing you got here.

PS Who Junior Brown ? Who he ?

I think you can really
play the harmonica. Your singing voice is engaging. You'll get used to it the more you do it. Someday, let us see the lyrics. The words are good. Thanks.

A drop of "Blood on the Tracks."
That guitar and sweet harp are sweet, reminiscent of Blood on the Tracks tunes like Tangled Up in Blue. REally nice groove. The lyrics are fine as well. Vocally, you can hit your notes fine, but I really think you'd do well to offer a little more commitment to bear-out your lyrical sentiment. Are we cool? Hope that's constructive and not annoying.

You are absolutely right, I don't really put a lot into the singing parts.

Andrew
You carry on in tune and have an original voice ... so no worries on the "singing" thing... quiet enjoyable really. Harp is sweet man. I too would love to see the lyrics ..... but I hate "typing" as well so totally understand. Damn cool tune and downloaded.

your singing is fine dude. honestly with this type of tune these days you can get away with most anything. ever hear j. mascus? and you can actually sing. i wouldn't sweat it. especially because you can write a cool acoustic tune. harmonica sounds great and i like the production. i like the way you sunk your vocals, probably because you were self conscious but it gives the vocals an emotional distance that works. i dig it.

I can only echo
.. Craig's comments. Your voice, sitting back in the mix, with it's fragile grace and cadences is just brilliant. A great tune, coupled with some stellar harmonica work, this is really ace. Love those train whistle harp notes around 1:45 = gets me every time. Feels like an early Uncle Tupelo Jeff Tweedy song. Really, really liking this.

....
instant fan.... love this type of stuff.... wish i could do it but every time i try to write something this slow my brain always says "FASTER! FASTER!"

very clean.. actually like your vocals.. pitchy and makes it feel more real... which is def. a plus on a recording like this..
