Next step
Now that you've put this under the Jazz Fusion genre, I have a few new lines coming to mind... Can you send me a few tracks of your guitars so I can separate them out and remix a bit? THanks for reminding me of this fun compilation of riffs.

Jazz Fusion
The first time I heard this I thought of John Scofield, hence the Jazz Fusion genres.

I heard elements of Scofield and old Weather Report that are undeniable.

A taste of Africa
With a little saxophone this would sound like when African-Belgian jazzman Manu Dibango collaborated with Herbie Hancock.

Tobin and Steve
Cool Frank Zappa style guitars at points. The beat is very complex at times but always carries the groove very well. Man your productions are always stellar. Awesome!

Hearing the Weather Report groove too...

reminds me of Joe Zawinul and Narada Walden getting together in Herbie Hancock's basement... wonder if Mr Lateef is gonna come over?

Nice additions on this pass - especially the bass
the watery guitar at the start is a bit diffuse for my ears - but small crit. The rest of the piece moves really nicely. As the music becomes more developed some of the vocals might want to be edited. It's a challenging balance.

Thanks Andy
Sounds really nice. I've been swamped at work lately and haven't had much time for music the last few weeks.
