hello jack
as always, more busy with licking his... having said that, he was clipped, so maybe he is suffering from some post-traumatic stress... it is good to hear that you liked it. keeps the turtle going strong. to get the old Korg drum emulator Tiny Pops to sound like that was a pretty difficult job. mutually impressed my friend! love, Marc

<3 doggone talented
Is the photo the last thing the un-invited animal sees? CHOMP!

Rhythmic glitchosity feels somewhat upbeat, but the harmonic undercurrent carries hints of blood and fear... could be a great soundtrack for a dreamy horror chase scene. Chilling.

lol
i guess so! he is one vicious sob, but also a darling, a true friend... well to the people that are close to him, he is the kind of dog that demands a specific way of treating him. I love the dreamy horror chase scene analogy, maybe a "Crazies" scene? At the fanfare? Thanks, as always for your comment my dear friend. Love, Marc

Synth/Pads from Absynth 5?
Sounds lush
Love the dark distorted rhythms

bon soir Brando
Thanks man! Yes, massive for the lead, absynth for the wave-like background pad at the end. The distorted rhythms was a friggin endeavor in itself, almost 7 fx stacked on top of each other... problem is, no idea what they are anymore... hahahahha... ciao!

nice shepherd
As a shepherd (multiple-- one Shiloh, one long-haired German) owner, or shall I say guardian, I appreciate the song artwork firstly. The glitchy percussion is striking and compelling counterbalanced with the warm and uniting pads.

Thanks P
I am very happy to read that you liked it all, esp. the way you articulated your thoughts made me smile. I never thought I would love a German shepherd, but this one is just a bundle of joy. Ciao!

Love the beats
Good to see the beatmeister back. Very interesting crinkled beats and typical Marc haunting pads gliding along. I really like the track and look forward to many more.

Indeed
many more to come, I hope. You know the Jb sound by now, something I am trying to work on. You know, get a notch better at stuff. Still figuring out how to operate Cubase 5, but with the slow laptop I have now, I could just as well do it on a friggin toy piano. Thanks for the love and support my dear friend, Marc

Your comment makes me smile. I guess we can call it friendship and mutual understanding (the dog and I). I was pleasantly surprised to see your comment here. Ciao my friend, more please!

Interesting beginning
I enjoyed the way you incorporated the rest of the song with the sound choices you made for the percussion. I had no idea what kind of music would accompany the rhythm you made.

Always a treat to hear your work.

Yeah
I had to make choices once I had the beat. But dang, did it take a while to find an answer, well something. Thanks for the compliment, always good to see you here:-). Have a good week and -end with the family, Marc

i've been
wanting to do a song for my dog for a long time. check out wop-a-din by the red house painters, best dog tribute tune ever imo. anyway love the concept and the execution is swell, really like the scratching sound that carries the tune, could be nails clicking on the floor or tail wagging against the coffee table.

like
the metaphor. People come up with all these metaphors that I wish were mine. Happy to see you liked it! Gotta find that song you mention, byt the red house painters no less. (no idea btw who they are, but what a cool bandname). Thanks for dropping a comment! Marc

Very cool
Unique corn popping sound design on the drums. Works well against the lush pads.

Well hello!
Corn popping. Dang...
I couldn't stop wiggling my tail to the beat, I admit that. Come to think of it, the rim shot is kind of like buttery....Thanks for coming by and writing a comment. Have a good week! Marc

That is marvelous to hear
After I posted a song, I am always thinking whether or not you will like it. Good to hear you do. Isn't it just awful when you lose a part of the family?! I lost my first dog and she was really all I had and to an extend needed. I was devastated. Really glad to see you here! Love, Marc
