Description
Been swamped with work and distracted by solo CD recording. No time to write a proper song with lyrics. So this instrumental ditty is the best I can do right now.

I love Yordbear's stuff. He frequently sets up his instrumental pieces with a little narrative. I sort of heard this in a similar way--like the soundtrack to
b&w children's film from the '50's. I know I can improve on mix and production
but it's just a sketch

Wonderful....
...this is such fine music--thanks very much for allowing us to enjoy it! Outstanding--I definitely will be checking out the rest of your offerings. Big applause from Minneapolis--not sure you can hear it, but it's possible! Michael

cloudette
just woke up and lying in bed listening to this with laptop on my chest. it's raining outside and it's cold....and this tune sounds so breezy and warm. my only disappointment is not to hear the dulcet tones of your voice.

John, this is a sweet melody....
...it reminds me of a children's show theme song kind of thing, one that ends up being hip to be able to play....

The guitar parts mesh really nicely on the recording, too.... This is refreshingly simple and has that quality of 'just enough'...

I know it's a 'rough', but my only thought is that it would've been nice to have slower fade at the end....

Very enjoyable tune....

Sometimes the impromptu ditties like this are some of the best. Carefree and alive playing. Some really nice stuff, John!

cheers,
Jack

Nice one
this has has that simplicity of tone that is an absolute joy to hear..I think that it comes from the " walking" style rhythmn of the gut string acoustic..if you get me drift .Pleasant listening nicely played.

Jarvo.

This is a real feel-good piece. It is just so nice to listen to. Very clean simple melody that is well played - and I love the picture.
Thank you for sharing this -

Hi John
What an excellent tune. I like how it sounds as if different players are pitching in at different times (nice use of panning and overdubbing).
Makes me feel good listening to it so thanks!

nylon-string sunniness
This is definitely a "cloudette"--more sunshine than rain-cloud to my ears. Like what you did with the stereo positioning of the mandolin (and the guitars for that matter).

Cloudette
Sounds like a breezy happy cloudette to me. Have no idea what a gut string guitar is, but it sounds great!

such a cute melody
This makes me think of a Pixar movie for some reason. this is really well-written and performed. the guitar harmonies are instant smiles for me. also, you've chosen a perfect photo for his song.

This is nice and sunny (not cloudy). It is so nice and bubbly. It somewhat reminds me of Hawaiian music.

I've been singing and playing since the age of fourteen when my brother Paul was working his way through the Beatle book and needed someone to play with. From Paul I learned to fingerpick, play barre chords, and to sing the melody while he sang harmo... [see more]
