Awesome!
This is so cool! I just kind of randomly selected your song and I've got to admit that I listened to it twice. This is really good! I especially like the percussion. It gives the song a really cool grove.

The drums make all the difference
I had planned on using midi tabla and such but it sounded awful. I found a collection of drum solos and pulled loops off of that. Totally changed the quality of the track.

I am a
definite belly dance fan Roy.
You turn your hand to anything and it always sounds so top notch. I am sure Cindy will love this.
Downloaded. Thanks.
Cheers
Len

Wiggle room
Thanks Len,

Always encouraging support. So I cut a rough for Cindy. I tell her it's a rough, I mean light keys, some looped drums, and an acoustic guitar strumming out some chords. You know to give her an idea of pacing, sections. She very politely says it's not working for her. The next version is pretty much what I've posted here. She is blown away and very happy with it.

Belly
This rocks. Great job in an exotic genre. Wonderful piece of composition and arranging. To my ear this sounds like a seamless blend of loops and analog instruments. Excellent work.

Well, I can't bellydance
but this tune sure had me shakin' my booty ;-) It's nice and hypnotic and yet energetic. Thanks.

big stage production
Great for competition! Big stage sound, with lots of transitional moments. Awesome rhythm!!!! Give an update when and where this will be performed.

They came in Second
The performance was excellent. They worked with all the musical drama and transitions. Costumed with Isis wings for the full effect then broke out into full wiggle for the drum section. Exciting to see the song danced out.

Loops were a pain
Thanks for the comments. The loops were cut from a practice CD. But the tempo was all over the place. To get them to flow, I had to set the tempo of the song to the tempo of the pattern, then cut, add and bring back onto the track at the correct tempo. Worked great, but time consuming.
