Description
While sitting in a coffee shop on 125th street I overheard this conversation. "What a great song title that would make." I said to Shelly. "Cool. Let's do it." Was her reply.

Good to see you back around MJ Rene
This has a great early 60s vibe - great production and love Shelley's vocal. What a fantastic lyrical base to work from. The only nit I have is probably the drum track - a little too predictable for me - even though it's pquite likely in "the genre". Then I came to the solo, which probably would have worked better at a much lower volume.
This sounds much more like a retro 60s tune than "Punk/grunge" to me - you might be missing out on some hits because of the genre you selected.
Great that you're posting here though - I'm waay behind in my listening, but would have caught up eventually with this one.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

thanks neil
I listened again and I think you are right. The lead guitar is too loud. that is an easy fix. as for the drums. yes. i used only one loop. the thing is that a professional drummer just offered to do drums for my tunes. this would be a good one to take him up on it.

Shades of
... the Ronettes as played by the Jesus and Mary Chain. Magnificent vocal delivery that sends a shiver down my spine at certain points. The organ is inspired and the whole thing hangs together really well. Lyrically it had me chuckling. Excellent work.

You would like my bass player/vocalist. Shelly is a tall redhead with alabaster skin. Hot like laura balance.

oh and
to be helpful, not picky, you should definitely revisit the drums, this is a great tune, it deserves some more realistic drumming...

Cool tune!
Love the almost girl-group vocals and the minimal arrangement. And the hook, of course!

UPTOWN
Very agreeable with a touch-sensitive topic.
LA Studio sound on Lead Vx - Neat.
Would have doubled and split something on last stanza so Gtr & Vx each had more room (both pretty centered, thus layered, here, no?

compliments and regards,
rtc
