flourishes galore
Very nice guitar work, quite enjoyable to listen to all the swirls and sparkles along the way here, with the interplay between the two guitars.

Wow.
The guitar flourishes are so amazingly refreshing! This is, to me, a very unique composition (I don't know JM's work) and find your manner of expression just full of vibrancy and an sheer joy in harmony and musical expression. Just beautiful. One of the few songs I care to download and listen to again. (Um, something happened to the very end...It is clipped off. ... Nevertheless, I want to hear this again...) Beautiful work.

Tasty chord voicings, and you're showing some serious chops on top of them. The ending was kind of abrupt though

This is just gorgeous!
This is excellent - so effortless and soothing. Absolutely beautiful. Full sound, but transparent recording. Poised, calm...I was starting to get into it when all of a sudden it ended!
I heard the Mahavishnu Project live a few months ago, and boy is the energy still alive. Amazing. Good friend of mine, Premik, used to tour with them during the 'Visions of the Emerald Beyond' tour. We just did a soundtrack for a play in Manhattan, and his flute and sax playing is still amazing too. That time in the 70's was quite special. I was born a little too late for all that, so...
Great to come across this post! Please re-post if you're ever inspired to finish this.

very nice
John Mclaughlin is a tough one to emulate. You did a great job with this. I'll never forget the first time I saw him live with the Mahavishnu Orchestra. They were the opening act for the Frank Zappa and the Mothers. It was on Mothers day.

Balanced, great tone, big wow.
First: Fix the ending! Now I'll take it from the top: From the opening notes, the balanced mix and tone of your guitars served as a very pleasing entry into a consistently fine piece.I haven't read the rest of the comments yet but I can bet the word "gorgeous" comes up more than once.

You have a wonderfully clear playing style - like crystal. I don't normally like this sort of thing, but I could listen to this for ever. Then it stops...
