Lyrics
Love, oh, love, love, love!

Nobody remember these days, oh these days,
when we still had dreams of love and peace.
We woke up in the morning, in bright rays of light,
oh, we were so damn happy, in our place.

Love, oh love, love, love - where did you go?
Come back again, come back, to make love.

We've lost a language, we've lost a soul.
We left it on the train of love.
These days, these dark days - memories in black and white,
of love and passion, of a wonderful life.

Love, oh love, love, love - where did you go?
Come back again, come back, to make love.

Love one and another and you'll be happy.

i keep hearing jazz inspired songs....and i've just posted one of my own. is it because summer is coming? anyway, back to 'love'. love it mikki...typically 'out there' with just enough convention to keep it all on the right path. love the loose instrumental section. pure pushing of boundaries and pure genius. love love love is another memorable tag. fantastic. you are a star.

Send the man a drink...
Mikki, I really enjoyed listening to this--has a very neat coffee house jazz style about it. Loved the production you put into this too--thanks again!

I love it!
Bonzo-esque, if you don't mind the comparison. I like the vibes, very understated, but effective.

Nice one!

Love, oh, love, love, love!
I like the classic sounding chord progression and the upright bass. Vocs are sounding good here. Guitar break is cool.

Love, love
This has a great Waitsian feel to it--a shuffling, jazzy, loose rhythm that's nonetheless expertly calibrated. The lyrics too, have a hazy precision that's impressive--nice job!

Love revolution
I usually love your concept. I gotta tell you that this opened like a hangover, a really rough hangover, and I was wondering if this was tongue-in-cheek or if the psychedelic hangover effect would make sense later on. But by the end, I actually didn't care, cuz the chorus was so much fun. Like a huge party group singalong. Maybe that was the point, that even if all is lost, with the proper hangover it just doesn't matter! I dig the tin pan alley feel, smiled all the way thru. Thanks for yet another surprise.

To all
Thank you for listening and taking the tie to comment on my song... Here it goes, didn't want to say anything when posting the song...

The song originated from an argument, about one single word, namely "naive". I posted a wall post on FB, telling, I am now, writing a song, and that it may be or become naive.
My lovely gf Jennifer said, oh no, you can't say that! Baffled I asked, why not? She said, using the term "naive" would mean I was fooled by own purpose or goal and as of such, either a) Did not understand the meaning of the word, or B) Used it in a wrong context

The bla, bla, bla, went on, of course, we are after all a man and a woman.

She stood by her claim that "naive" can only mean one thing; being stupid and fooled.

I said, not in my dictionary, no. What about the art form "naivism"? What about having the strength of being naive on purpose...?

Anyway. Somewhere along these roads where were this song originated. I said, I am going to write a "naive" song for you. Of course it is much more difficult to achieve this through music than for example through paintings, but... :)

Again, thank you for taking the time to listen and to comment.

Love,

Mikki

Good Job!
You draw the listener into the optimistic world of your memories...can it get any better?

I agree with your meaning of naive...

your vox
are perfectly suited to this song and this hang-over genre. Kinda like a cleaned up Tom Waits with cute girl back-up singers instead of those other drunks he plays with. A Bukowski cheer to ya. Perfectly sickly.

love love etc
wasnt sure at first but then got into it. like the spacious, laid back feel of the verse and the build up in the chorus. very likable. pretty cool stuff. vocals in the chorus the best but all round very good and not following any trends. thanks
